gunsle··on DoorDash to acquire Instacart
Or we could just not pass absurd tax hikes to pay for grocery delivery, and then everyone has more money in their pockets and can freely choose to give it to their mothers for delivery. Forcing everyone into it via tax collection is literally absurd.
gunsle··on DoorDash to acquire Instacart
lol, this is the state of leftist discourse online? Now even completely unnecessary services like DoorDash should be socialized so we can all pay for it? This has to be satire.
gunsle··on Evidence of a spying operation by ICE against left-wing social movements
Everyone in society should just ignore all laws they don’t feel are just. That will surely work great
gunsle··on Evidence of a spying operation by ICE against left-wing social movements
Agreed completely, I’d never illegally migrate to Japan and expect them to do anything besides arrest and deport me. It’s only western countries that get this weird illogical hate for not opening the borders to literally anyone and actually enforcing immigration law.
gunsle··on Remote workers report the highest well-being in study of 7,700 employees
Team building is management speak and completely unnecessary. Teams will naturally form bonds as they complete work together. Any worker with a life has zero desire to go drink a couple bad drinks and do an escape room with coworkers they barely like to appease a manager that thinks this is going to somehow increase productivity.
gunsle··on Remote workers report the highest well-being in study of 7,700 employees
Miserable because we don’t enjoy fake company bullshit like team building lunches and dumbass nontechnical managers that know less than we do but get paid more? Have fun drinking that company koolaid.
gunsle··on Watching TikTok and Instagram deactivates the cognitive control network: Study
Full social media ban, problem solved. There’s no point wasting more time discussing these things when they’re very obviously a large net negative on society.
gunsle··on Watching TikTok and Instagram deactivates the cognitive control network: Study
Full social media ban would be easier and more effective imo. Public spaces would come back to life in no time at all if social media was heavily curtailed or banned entirely. This would be an obvious win for everyone involved outside of the terminally online and corporations benefiting from their lack of self control.
gunsle··on Watching TikTok and Instagram deactivates the cognitive control network: Study
Absolutely baffling you’re being downvoted lmao. Social media Astro turfing teams working overtime I guess
gunsle··on Watching TikTok and Instagram deactivates the cognitive control network: Study
The Reddit tier mental gymnastics on display here to avoid any kind of acknowledgement of the dangers of short form video specifically is impressive.
gunsle··on The UK's war on anonymity has come to America
Right, so there isn’t currently hundreds of people in UK jails for simply saying “bad words” online? That must be algorithmic misinformation slop too huh?
gunsle··on The UK's war on anonymity has come to America
You’re literally arguing nonsense. You have no way to define what a “human right” is outside of some kind of moral framework that others have no obligation to subscribe to. “Human rights” do not exist. The word right in this context literally makes no sense without some kind of moral underpinning, which again circles back to requiring some kind of moral framework (religion for example) that only work as far as a group of people agree on. There is no such thing as what “human rights are” there are only things certain groups of people have decided to agree is a “right” within their community.
gunsle··on Resetting Xbox
Yeah, I kind of loathe the cinematic direction Sony and others have taken. Their games aren't really innovative or fun but people lap them up for being B tier movies. It makes no sense to me. They don't bother making Bloodborne anymore, just more open world cinematic slop like Horizon.
gunsle··on Costco is the anti-Amazon
You are absurdly naive if you think they’re incapable or unlikely to do such a thing. Half the comments and threads on this site are ads at this point.
gunsle··on U.S. government will decide who gets to use GPT-5.6
It does have everything to do with it. Why would anyone in Europe be motivated to build anything innovative if they know they will have the government taking 50% of every dollar they make to fund social programs they probably won’t even receive the benefits of? Why would anyone work hard in that environment? You’re completely ignoring the social/productivity implications of high taxation. Additionally, China does not have anywhere near the level of social programs Europe does. No one in China takes two months off a year as a checkout clerk.
gunsle··on U.S. government will decide who gets to use GPT-5.6
I’m not name calling, I’m describing. If you’re offended, you must be a tankie, lol.
gunsle··on An entire Herculaneum scroll has been read for the first time
Not to be that guy but you have a very well written comment here completely undermined by your choice of “fucking.” It just sounds crass in this context. Consider using “having sex” or something less aggressive next time. I have no problem with swearing fyi, but here it really has no need.
gunsle··on How H-E-B became Texas' most beloved brand (2024)
There’s an HEB here every couple miles. I haven’t seen a single Kroger or Albertsons, it’s not the same at all.
gunsle··on U.S. government will decide who gets to use GPT-5.6
Facts, but the Europeans, tankies, and America haters here will never admit it. Europe sold out its industries for social programs. Not our fault you guys chose social safety nets over industry.
gunsle··on A Call to Action: Stop the FCC's KYC Regime
Are you trying to imply that there isn’t coordinated attacks by fringe groups just because they’re leftist?
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
Not to mention these models are all built off of clearly extremely illegal abuse of human created content, which they will apparently never be held accountable for.
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
It basically is at this point, if you haven’t noticed. Complete with the same America bad, Elon bad, democrats good midwit progressive politics.
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
The other user is right, you are being a pedant. Why do you think planet fitness makes money hand over fist? Because 99% of its users sign up, never go, and then also never cancel because it’s cheap enough to leave running. Gyms absolutely bank on low amounts of power users, meaning the rest of the subscribers are subsidizing those that go frequently.
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
Agreed, everything since 4.6 has been worse
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
Ultracode destroys your limits and I have not found it to be worth it in the slightest, just fyi. I haven’t found any improvement over a local Claude code instance set to opus max.
gunsle··on Claude Fable 5
You’re not gonna get nuanced discussion on spacex or anything Elon related here these days. Most of this site is Reddit lite at this point including their milquetoast progressive opinions (Elon bad being one of them).
gunsle··on Pentagon raised threat of Israeli spying on U.S. to highest level, sources say
There is no where near 100m American evangelicals. There’s less than 60m almost certainly. It doesn’t account for everything.
gunsle··on Age verification for social media, the beginning of the end for a free internet?
American capitalism and the American government and its policies are intertwined. You are arguing literally nothing.
gunsle··on Age verification for social media, the beginning of the end for a free internet?
To act like no private citizens or businesses contributed to the internet because it came out of DARPA is ignorant at best. DARPA literally pays private entities to do research for them to this day. It’s their primary mechanism for action. So confidently ignorant.

Take your Reddit tier America bad slop back to Reddit.

gunsle··on Does Employment Slow Cognitive Decline? Evidence from Labor Market Shocks
Yeah the people that think the world would turn into a magical utopia if we suddenly had to work less hours are just downright ignorant. Every one of them claims they have plenty of hobbies to fill their days. I guarantee by month 3 of no work most of them would be begging for something meaningful to do.
