Echoing the wish for a Windows version. This is the first piece of software I've attempted to download in my ~2 years on this site. 90% of the software engineers I know are on Windows :-)

When I do this with places I've lived in before, especially in other states or countries, the nostalgia is so strong that it hurts!

It's pretty crazy how we are able to expose ourselves to memories and experiences (normally inaccessible) in so much stronger ways than previous generations.

Would love to hear more tips. This is me too, and I suspect some of my team members. I've been trying to build in more collaboration into tickets (e.g., an acceptance criteria that is "talk to the rest of the team about the decision you make on X aspect of implementation"), and I'm looking for more.

Those collaborative conversations are so often fruitful in ways I don't expect.

Maybe it's less risk for them to offer the individual features. That way if people get inadvertent results, it's easier to blame the user, not the tool/company

Maybe it's because I work in such a small team on a still-starting project, but even with the chaos of LLM-generated code, I can't imagine such a case as above that the LLMs couldn't also address.

I don't have a macro-level answer for you but an interesting anecdote: we opened a job for a Software Designer and looked at the first 9 applicants. All of them were in need of H-1B sponsorship, most were Indian, and most were "software-engineers-turned-designers". So at a micro (company) level, we hire immigrants because those are the candidates we receive.

Note: One of my parents is an Indian immigrant. I have worked with many great Indian engineers and many not-so-great, just like every other nationality.

Yes! They are extremely susceptible to user influence, based on what I have read and experienced in personal use. If your initial message contains a seed, e.g., "Should I break up with my boyfriend? He doesn't listen to me," the LLM will stick with the seed of negativity and not make an objective analysis of the situation or take initiative to challenge your/its original perspective.
