hacker_yacker··on A new myth appeared during the presidential campaign of Andrew Jackson
Anyone who claims to be self made is dishonest to themselves. "No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main" -John Donne
hacker_yacker··on Trillions spent and big software projects are still failing
AI will absolutely solve these problems, by inventing nimble AI native companies that disrupt these business models into the Stone Age, worker by worker, role by role. Death by a billion cuts.
hacker_yacker··on Consumer Autonomy or Illusion? Rethinking Consumer Agency in Age of Algorithms
Consumer agency in the digital age is increasingly constrained by systemic barriers and algorithmic manipulation, raising concerns about the authenticity of consumption choices. Nearly a million records, which appear to be linked to a medical-cannabis-card company in Ohio, included Social Security numbers, government IDs, health conditions, and more.
hacker_yacker··on Apple and Amazon will miss AI like Intel missed mobile
Just wrong. Apple just acquired 7 AI companies (talent pool). And amazon's Bedrock has been solid and pushing envelope for years.

The problem is with your expectations. Apple is no longer winning all the time, so relatively, it feels like it's losing. And Amazon is the quiet beast lurking, it's just doing a poor job at marketing.

hacker_yacker··on Made a GitHub repo with many ways to Rickroll, now it has modular rickroller
The files are not sorted, so its sorta a jumbled roll, but a roll nonetheless
hacker_yacker··on Is economics education fit for the 21st century?
I think the structures are relevant, but I also think there is a huge opportunity for the concepts to be disrupted by AI.
