Talk about nostalgia!
I, and I suspect many others, benefited immensely from him lessons.
In case anyone is wondering about the number.
What an odd post to make the front page of HN.
Aside from Pete's reply (see adjacent comment), I'd add that him taking full responsibility is also his way of saying his post was nobody else's fault but his.
In other words it's less about forfeiting assets and descendant peonage, and more about saying "the buck stops with me".
At least that's my read of his sentiment. Pete can expand if need be.
Whilst I assume you meant to say “scrape”, I can’t help but appreciate the poetry of that typo.
Thank you kind stranger.
Building relationships.
Damn I love HN.
Can someone please help me understand what their competitive advantage is, versus the likes of AWS / Azure et al, who are also available in the EU.
I love a good underdog story, but I'm not understanding the economics of it.
I'm on vanilla Ubuntu 22.04 but have also tried vanilla 24.04, with an Nvidia card.
That said, I thought steamdeck was just the handheld device - not sure if this would help with my Ubuntu situation - but I don't know enough about steamdeck so perhaps I am misinterpreting your comment.
Thanks either way.
Even for an absolute robotics newbie such as myself, the article was interesting to read, and easy to understand. Plus it was straight to the point, with no unnecessary waffle.
Just a pleasure all round. Well done Robocurve.
Loved that.
Odd that it’s on HN front page :-/
Does this happen often in the US?
I mean often enough that folks happen to know the legality of it?
In which case I find it extremely frightening that one could be sitting on their porch, minding their own business, browsing HN, and then get unexpectedly head-shotted by a meteorite.
OP strikes me as quite childish. I’m guessing he’s quite young, nothing wrong with that.
And yeah, the circumstances aren’t great (the stressful move to SF in particular). Tough break!
I’m no expert at this and was wondering what you meant by the following:
> In real organisms behavior may be controlled by short or long term outcomes, and may oscillate between this "optimization" based on schedules
Could you perhaps provide an example that would help me understand what you mean?
Thanks for the insightful comment either way.
