Also, it is worth considering extended adolescence, economic, and other factors are leading towards a Japan-like population crash of native-born US citizens.
I get that. I'm from the US and will be looking overseas for a wife in Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Czechia, and similar because American girls just aren't educated, skilled, dedicated, or adult enough to survive in today's real world. The entitlement, poor attitude, and ignorance are painful and obnoxious to the point too many are liabilities compared to females elsewhere where they actually know how to let a man be a man.
S-VHS decks weren't necessarily any better than VHS ones, and the two formats are incompatible.
Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and Sony made the best VHS VCRs, IIRC. The best ones for capture maybe different, but this is what I recall for analog NTSC playback. S-Video connectors, if you can get them may help, but not always.
If I were going green-field the design of a VHS/S-VHS VCR from scratch today, I use some sort of solid-state helical-scan-equivalent head that can over-capture tape domains, pre-process data to align scan lines per PAL or NTSC, and output unencrypted HDMI.
There is only one party, the Property party, with two wings: Democrat and Republican. - Gore Vidal (the author of the book Julian Assange was clutching while he was being illegally dragged out of the Ecuadorian embassy.)
We have the best government that money can buy. - Mark Twain
It makes one wonder when the first essentially fully-autonomous corporation will come online (not named Cyberdyne).
The net cord judge doesn't seem a huge deal, but it does take away jobs.
SF also is a problem for anyone not making more than $150k/year because it's a magical wonderland where everyone wants to live there, and so they're willing to irrationally sacrifice their financial futures to hang-on to something they can't afford, i.e., paying 50%+ income in rent, unable to contribute 10% to savings, and other forms of financial suicide.
How lower income people make it in SF, even with rent controls, seems like an unsustainable proposition.
I think a better way of measuring of microeconomic affordability is a reasonable budgeted cost-of-living for one person per month in a median housing situation in relation to their potential income. In other words, or thought of another way, the ratio of cost-of-living to income in local nominal dollars.

For anything I don't care about and want better anonymity, I'm fine with using random, public disposable email addresses.
Partner guarding seems like a lot of pointless energy expended based on insecurity; one of my aims in relationship(s) is to constantly improve to remain the highest-value around without resorting to possessive capture. Plus, it's better to let people move freely and self-select voluntarily, rather than give them ultimatums or threatening "if you ever" speeches.
I look at importance of relationships (love/friendship) based on the amount and sustainment of attention, mutual care, support, and trust. Sex is just sex to me without deeper affinity and common interests; a shared, social activity that is delightful without being black-and-white all-meaningful. It's also important to be sure other participants are truly on this same wavelength so that they don't end-up regretful or are otherwise left worse than before.
In conclusion: open works best for me, with a consideration for Mff or Mfff poly where f are pan/bi. I think Mfff tetrad of ever-reconfiguring pairs is more stable because there's no third-wheel issue. And all disagreements must be followed by bedroom activities, and stalemate disputes are resolved by last one who gets there wins.

Christian von Koenigsegg is my soul brother. Engineer/CEO committed to excellence in extreme automotive manufacturing like:
- Cam-less heads (which I was always wondered why they didn't exist when I was kid 25 years ago because it would trounce VVTI).
- Complete carbon fibre wheels
- Optimized hybrid EV testbed models
- In-house, scratch-build EMS
- Highly-efficient (power per weight) motors
- Shooting for straight course speed world record
- Incredible styling and aerodynamics
And, there are now plenty of other self-hosted options to their bloated JVM, resource-hungry apps.
They just committed seppuku in many less-visible, but nonetheless important, use-cases in the enterprise space. What a shame.
My family wouldn't allow psychological or psychiatric intervention because they believed it was a conspiracy against children.
25 years later, I've tried the main classes of AD(H)D medications and cannot tolerate them even though I need them to function in society. (On benefits at present, looking to start a 3D printed custom parts business.)
Antidepressants: I wish there one that worked, but I've tried 14 of them; I'm looking at the dissociatives, psychedelics, TMS, medical implants, and surgical options.
I don't believe these figures.
Fundamentally: How could they ever hope to track every single passengers' COVID status? I think they are basing this conclusion on dozens of cases a few airlines knew about and erroneously extrapolating from that while ignoring the COVID statuses of millions of passengers.
In addition, if it's not independently peer-reviewed, it's reasonable to conclude it's industry propaganda. They will say anything to save their golden goose.
Diphallia would be awesome.
And, they used craptacular Telegram instead of Signal. Dumb.
Calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium in balanced amounts along with K and D maximize bone health. Alkali metals supplementation alone is rarely a good idea because of the often common transports and osmotic competitions.
In general, a multivitamin, b complex, and omega 3 in the form of canned fresh sardines or anchovies (fish oil capsules are typically low in actual 3 and high in 6) is probably enough for most people.
5-10 mg/day of extra zinc during the annual cold season is fine too.
Don't supplement with E without a specific medical need.
This isn't gram obviously, which I nuked because it wasn't serving a business or personal branding purpose for sometime, but I will slip back in for a vintage car restoration.
If someone cares about votes, they'll be a slave to them and:
- worry more what other people think of them that writing, doing, or creating
- they'll censor themselves about something they feel strongly about and regret it
- they'll do something incredibly stupid for attention and regret it, such as jumping on top of a moving freight train. Don't. Or get pulled over by 4 UFOs for doing a buck 40 (mph, that's 225 kph). Don't do that either. Or drop a cover over their motorcycle license plate and outrun the cops from a highway on city streets. Don't do that either. Or have insanely hot sex at work in the back stairwell just before the lunch rush. You get the idea. You don't need social media for the best things in life; some things are best not shared but lifecasting is cool too.
- Don't become a trained monkey performer unless it's a determined career path.
On HN, express yourself with reason and evidence, and let the chips fall where they may. On gram, it's different because it's about displaying moments, creations, and art publicly and let the critics do whatever the heck they're going to do; it's a museum or a show-and-tell where folks have probably had some champagne already and also cyberdisinhibitionism, so feedback needs some big ass grains of salt.
Meditate on being more like Peter in Office Space after hypnosis and be awesome. Votes are for other people. Take it only as feedback after the fact, not before. Risk being booed on-stage.
Peace, out
Experience, testing, formal methods, less fragile tools, and avoiding premature optimization.
Consider Haskell, Idris, Pony, Rust, and Clojure, but these are just some tools in a large toolbox.
Put aside insecurities and constantly look for techniques to minimize errors, maximize readability, and productivity.
Accumulate best practices and apply them with experienced "common" sense.
Consider coding like writing with many drafts. Throw some away and write it again.
