igtztorrero··on Using Claude Code: The unreasonable effectiveness of HTML
I use obsidian MD editor to save important chats I made on Claude or Gemini.

It's the best markdown editor.

So when I need to check any past reference I just open my folder or files.

Html it's so ugly.

I wish IA products add a save al chat button, to avoid copy and paste every response.

igtztorrero··on Using “underdrawings” for accurate text and numbers
Task like this, are the cause IA is eating memory and cpu prices.

igtztorrero··on Rob Pike's 5 Rules of Programming
Rule 4, I have always practiced and demanded of junior programmers, to make algorithms and structures that are simple to understand, for our main user: the one who will modify this code in the future.

I believe that's why Golang is a very simple but powerful language.

igtztorrero··on TUI Studio – visual terminal UI design tool
I want something like that, but for Bootstrap,Tailwind or Quasar
igtztorrero··on The window chrome of our discontent
Few software companies consider this: users appreciate it when the interface remains constant over time, and especially if we can continue using previous versions without being forced to change, since learning new things again takes time.
igtztorrero··on Markdown file to Google Drive and viceversa
When working with CLI agents like Claude Code on writing projects, the most natural generation format is Markdown. But iterating on those docs via Google Docs is painful — uploading a Markdown file to Google Drive with proper formatting requires multiple manual steps.

md2gdoc reduces this to one command. gdoc2md does the reverse.

igtztorrero··on AWS Adds support for nested virtualization
Digital Ocean has always supported nested virtualization.
igtztorrero··on 200 MB RAM FreeBSD desktop

igtztorrero··on Is DWPD Still a Useful SSD Spec?
The most common catastrophic failure you’ll see in SSDs: the entire drive simply drops off the bus as though it were no longer there.

Happened to me last week.

I just put it in a plastic bag into the freezer during 15 minutes, and works.

I made a copy to my laptop and then install a new server.

But not always works like charms.

Please always have a backup for documents, and a recent snapshot for critical systems.

igtztorrero··on Multiple Digital Ocean services down
I knew it, DigitalOcean CDN is using Cloudflare behind the scenes. Why DO ?
igtztorrero··on Why use OpenBSD?
Debian
igtztorrero··on Myths Programmers Believe about CPU Caches (2018)
In Golang there are sync.Mutex, sync.Atomic and Channels to create this fence and prevent data races. I prefer sync.Mutex.

Does anyone understand how Go handles the CPU cache?

igtztorrero··on I invited strangers to message me through a receipt printer
Message sent from igtztorrero wonderful day
igtztorrero··on React vs. Backbone in 2025
We left Backbone for Vue in 2018, due to its simplicity and ease of component manufacturing. I'm surprised to learn that Backbone still exists. Maybe I should revisit it.

I remembered why we left, I hate handle 'this' in JavaScript :)
