"So you think {}" in the wild! =D

Ty, and to answer your question: No. I'm commenting on a neat parallel. Personally I like the improvements that come from fairer games.

j-bos··on Software Giant SAP Stops Most Travel and Hiring Because of AI's Soaring Cost
This is reasoning from shallow similarity. If you have not been able to find areas where AI actually does solve things, I don't know what to tell you. Go look at the number of vulnerabilities being solved. Go look at the speed of their solves. On the opposite side, go look at the number of vulnerabilities being found and exploited. Go look at the speed of their being exploited. Yes, it's a negative externality, but it's an example of an extreme productivity boost, which is easy to measure. Take a minute dropping on YouTube or X and actually look for people who are making small scale manufacturing. Look at the speed of their development cycles. Not software development cycles, real world atom development cycles. And then compare it to the speed of their development as of five years ago. Notice a difference? Even the complaints of crypto, while valid, are a bit overstated given that there are hundreds of millions of people in third world countries where money transfers are not reliable, not stable, and they depend on crypto. Yes, there's a bunch of criminals as well. I agree. My point is superficial dismissal is head-in-the-sand behavior. And that's your choice. I mean, it's fine by me.

j-bos··on A.I. companies are recruiting electricians and carpenters by the thousands
This is generally the right term. Carpenters also refers to the guys who put up metal studs, doors and things of that nature. But they might be referring to the people who put up their framing for the concrete structures and molds.

Inquiring minds want to know: what is your anti-counterfeit strategy or is the fact that you're keeping it under your hat part of the strategy?

Also, pretty cool that you set up your website real fast. Would you mind adding your Twitter link onto the site?

Dude, she pays for it herself on pension.

And besides:

> Progress should be for all, not just the developed elite hanging out in tech circles.

That's... that's basically been the start of every generally available technology that exists today, to benefit of "all."

j-bos··on SpaceX wants to launch 100k more Starlink satellites for 100x the bandwidth
My mom lived with overpriced, underdeveloped, unreliable, and slow internet for years. Now she pays less for fast, reliable, sometimes improving bandwidth that doesn't go down for weeks after a storm. Progress is often gross, but it can be a lifesaver.
