jaynizon Ask HN: Personal photo library recommendations? Open source, browser-based

I have ~1TB of photos from various sources, including backups of old iPhoto libraries. Therefore I often have one photo available in many different sizes, cropped thumbnails, etc. I'd pay money for working duplicate detection :)

jaynizon Ask HN: Personal photo library recommendations? Open source, browser-based

Signed up for the beta! I've been looking for something like this for my ~1TB photo database ranging back to 1999.

jaynizon The iPad Pro as main computer for a programmer

Is this cheating? :(

jaynizon The iPad Pro as main computer for a programmer

I have almost that sentence in the blog post, search for mainframe or terminal.

jaynizon The iPad Pro as main computer for a programmer

Yeah, the only really useful thing that came out of this is the my shell docker image with everything I need. That way you can use the iPad if you really have (or want) to, and your normal computers otherwise.

Way ahead of you!

I wasn't aware, that's pretty cool! Thanks!

jaynizon Spain Will Remove Catalonia Leader, Escalating Secession Crisis

jaynizon Lego Macintosh Classic with e‑paper display

Depending on what updates you need, you don't need to do a full refresh of the e-paper display (there will be some ghosting, though). Check out this video from papirus: https://twitter.com/gregeric/status/849218168224702465 That updates pretty nicely. And thank you for making redis!

jaynizon Lego Macintosh Classic with e‑paper display

Ha, exactly, but it's all good :) One guy actually made an LDD model that would require no cutting. I'll post it as a follow up on my blog.

Also to everybody reading this: I'd respond to the other comments but hacker news doesn't let me ("you're submitting too fast" even though I didn't write anything since half an hour or so)

The Mac 128k is a different model, check out the floppy slot!

jaynizon Lego Macintosh Classic with e‑paper display

True! I forgot, apologies. Now it's already at my friend's place and I need him to take the photo :-)
