jikeo··on 6 Women Accuse Tech VC Justin Caldbeck of Sexual Assault and Harassment
They said on hacker news.

Personally I don't really see the problem. If you want to argue for a different state of things after some event, "post" seem like the correct word. Just like you would say "post war period". You might of course think that the statement itself is pretentious. But at least they argue their case, i.e the importance of her actions, in the article.

jikeo··on Google Will Stop Reading Your Emails for Gmail Ads
I know I shouldn't be surprised, but it seems weird that the reporter nor any of the 140+ comments so far seemingly don't mention the recently published proposal for a new ePrivacy directive in the EU that will make it a lot harder for Google to scan e-mails in the first place.

jikeo··on Ask HN: Do you feel fulfilled with your work?
I don't really see you point. When you pay "NYC rent" that money of course ends up somewhere. Some of your work hours becomes their margin. It's pretty obvious if you manage to find cheap accommodations or work remotely. Suddenly your income to expense ratio might be something like 6 to 1. Meaning you only _have to_ work two months a year.

The whole idea of the "real world" in contrast to "everything should be free" seem more like an example of western society than reality.
