johnathon023··on Alloy: React for Codegen, like Stripe's internal framework
Alloy powers https://typespec.io/, which Microsoft it seems is using to generate new OpenAPI sdks for Azure, among other things!

Looks like a great DSL, similar to https://smithy.io/, but more extensible, not tied to Java, and built with Typescript in mind.

Alloy itself seems like a delightful way to do codegen, and there have been talks mentioning Stripe uses a custom React render target just like this to generate their famously readable SDKs and code examples across all languages.

johnathon023··on Show HN: LiteChat or "How Hard Can It Be to" Build an AI Chat App
Hey, it looks like this hasn't gotten much attention, but this is actually quite excellent. Hits almost all the boxes I want for a power user UI that doesn't look ugly - I was in the middle of writing MY own too, but I think I'll use litechat!

Two feature requests: - Openrouter-specific options, like provider routing (essential when evaluating if providers are giving you garbage results) - Artifacts support.

johnathon023··on Mise: a polyglot tool version manager
Mise has quickly become my favorite local development tool.

Only thing is I wished it had windows support, so my (misguided) coworkers could use it too.

johnathon023··on Install Asdf: One Runtime Manager to Rule All Dev Environments
Mise gives you basically the same capabilities but is scoped a bit better, I’d check it out.

Mise’s #1 objective is to be a really great tool manager, just like ASDF, but way faster and smarter.

However, it turns out that a tool that needs to be extremely CWD-aware also makes a great .env tool and task runner. I was also a little skeptical, but it’s actually super super useful. Especially because it’s easy to convince team members to install it for the tools, they get the rest for free with easy syntax.
