jordanbrownon Ask HN: Who is hiring? (July 2016)

Lugg - https://angel.co/lugg/jobs

jordanbrownon Afrostream (YC S15) Is Netflix for African and African-American Movies

Same reason why the BET channel exists. Africans want their own netflix. I love this idea! Great stuff here guys.

jordanbrownon Apple ResearchKit on GitHub

Would be great to see them merge the pull request for cocoa pod support.

jordanbrownon Five Years’ Time

"One regret I do have: I spent too much time waiting for other people. Investors, cofounders, mentors. I found that once I started actually building, these things came naturally." --

I had this same experience. It wasn't until I pushed something live that those things/people just fell into place. Great article!

jordanbrownon Magic

Who do I talk to about adding Lugg to the list of services? http://lu.gg

jordanbrownon How You Know

"Reading and experience train your model of the world. And even if you forget the experience or what you read, its effect on your model of the world persists. Your mind is like a compiled program you've lost the source of. It works, but you don't know why." -- love this

jordanbrownon We Make Mistakes

How about a rejected application but one that now has traction? ie live in the App Store and growing.

jordanbrownon Beyond Objective-C, Beyond Swift

I'm starting to the feel same way about swift. While the syntax is less verbose which I prefer. It feels that its just incremental improvements to objc.

jordanbrownon Startup School acceptances are out

Loving the new YC application interface. Kudos!

jordanbrownon Peter Thiel AMA

Intriguing.

Question: What did you think when you first met Elon Musk?

Peter: "Very smart, very charismatic, and incredibly driven -- a very rare combination, since most people who have one of these traits learn to coast on the other two. It was kind of scary to be competiting against his startup in Palo Alto in Dec 1999-Mar 2000."

jordanbrownon Peter Thiel AMA

Very interesting. I wonder what he thinks now.

jordanbrownon Ask HN: As a developer how do you want to be hired?

I shy away from recruiters every time. Not sure why that is though.

jordanbrownon Lessons I learned from the failure of my first startup, Dinnr

haha it was my first and last time I attend one of those things.

jordanbrownon Lessons I learned from the failure of my first startup, Dinnr

No joke, had someone on my team during startup weekend this weekend that could not let go of market research. It pretty much ruined the mural of the whole team.

jordanbrownon Ask HN: Is parse down?

The dashboard isn't working for me

jordanbrownon Show HN: DailyFact – Learn one new thing everyday

jordanbrownon Plug – Native OS X client for Hype Machine

Hands down this has been my favorite mac application since the first version came out. I hope the rest of the cocoa community takes notice.

Keep up the good work Alex & Glenn!

jordanbrownon iOS Authentication Blocks

Blocks ftw!

jordanbrownon Ask HN: Is this a crazy idea?

Nothing crazy about this at all. I work for a company where we only go into the office on mondays. The rest of the time we choose where we work. I would definitely not ask for a pay cut. You shouldn't need to do that. Just drop this book in there lap. https://37signals.com/remote/

jordanbrownon f.lux has been updated to a new version

If only I could get it back onto my phone... Jailbreak can't come soon enough.
