jrh3··on Show HN: Moltbook – A social network for moltbots (clawdbots) to hang out
AI puppet theater
jrh3··on Ask HN: Is it time for HN to implement a form of captcha?
What's wrong with simple categories for comments... Informative, Funny, Flamebait, etc.
jrh3··on Why I love OCaml (2023)
Thanks for posting about ML! I made a post similar to yours a couple of years ago and got downvoted, lol.
jrh3··on Whole Earth Index
A sense of humor is desperately needed in these pages. Thank you.
jrh3··on Public Montessori programs strengthen learning outcomes at lower costs: study
I went to a Montessori school from pre-K through 6th grade. I totally agree with this article. It is not easy to make this work on a public school-sized scale. The problem in education is not funding. We were a private school, but we made it work on a shoestring.
jrh3··on Claude Skills
The tools I build for Claude Code keep reducing back to just using Claude Code and watching Anthropic add what I need. This is my tool for brownfield projects with Claude Code. I added skills based on https://blog.fsck.com/2025/10/09/superpowers/

https://github.com/RossH3/context-tree - Helps Claude and humans understand complex brownfield codebases through maintained context trees.

jrh3··on VIM Master
Remapping my CAPS LOCK key to the ESC key is the greatest keyboard hack ever.
jrh3··on Let's properly analyze an AI article for once
Ditto. I avoided Docker as long as possible and look forward to the day it is replaced.
jrh3··on After months of coding with LLMs, I'm going back to using my brain
> have high tolerance for bugs and just want to ship

LOL

jrh3··on The unreasonable effectiveness of an LLM agent loop with tool use
It's somewhere in between. Said struggle is where they learn. Guidance from seniors is important, but they need to figure it out to grow.
jrh3··on How the American Medical Association Screws Doctors
No, the AMA, though not perfect, is an excellent organization that benefits our healthcare.
jrh3··on How the American Medical Association Screws Doctors
Thank you for sharing this side of the story so well. The truth is that the AMA keeps the quacks out and standards high.
jrh3··on How the American Medical Association Screws Doctors
The AMA keeps the quacks out, to say the least. I know this is not a popular stance on HN.
jrh3··on FOSS infrastructure is under attack by AI companies
This is why we can't have nice things. Restricting access or making it a little more difficult preserves goodness for real people.
jrh3··on GibberLink [AI-AI Communication]
Use English—the power of plain text.
jrh3··on llms.txt directory
For trusted sites, this is a logical next step.
jrh3··on How I ship projects at big tech companies
Perception is reality. (For better or worse.)
jrh3··on Ultraprecise method of aligning 3D semiconductor chips invented
It's a great mental exercise. Reading it, my opinion alarm went off. (Thank you for the source material!)
jrh3··on Ultraprecise method of aligning 3D semiconductor chips invented
I think only discovered. It was always there, but someone(s) just had to do the work to find it.
jrh3··on Ultraprecise method of aligning 3D semiconductor chips invented
Nothing is invented, only discovered.
jrh3··on Laziness Death Spirals
This has helped me. Get something "done" every day.
jrh3··on 'Entire ecosystem' of fossils 8.7M years old found under Los Angeles high school
Tusked salmon at best.
jrh3··on ReMarkable Paper Pro
I need a stack of these to replace paper. The great thing about paper is that it's easy to look at several pieces simultaneously.
jrh3··on Larry Tesler pioneered cut-and-paste, the one-button mouse, WYSIWYG (2005)
Nice features but I still prefer yank and put.
jrh3··on Starting Hospice
God bless you and your family. You are a brave man who has helped many.
jrh3··on Pharma firms stash profits in Europe's tax havens
Why is this article on HN?
jrh3··on What good are whizzy new drugs if the world can't afford them?
Nobody has used that type of insulin for decades.
jrh3··on What good are whizzy new drugs if the world can't afford them?
Nobody has used those for years. New engineered insulins like Novolog have been going down in price for years. They can make tons of it now.
jrh3··on What good are whizzy new drugs if the world can't afford them?
Which insulin?
jrh3··on What happens if you swallow gum?
My child went through a phase of swallowing a bunch of gum. He got appendicitis. It might have been a coincidence. The article does not mention appendicitis but some of the symptoms are the same as intestinal blockage.
