kabr··on Sublime Text Build 4213
Not sure what you mean by "opening a repo on a remote server", but if you mean mounting a remote file system, this isn't really a sublime-specific feature. Use SSHFS (or other) and then just open the folder in Sublime and have at it.

If you mean interacting with git directly with Sublime, there's a number of plugins https://packagecontrol.io/packages/GitSavvy. But this does like any normal workflow does -- it creates a local repo and uses standard git commands to sync (push/pull).

Saved terminal state. Multiple tabs. Can log off and come back and everything’s there. tmux and mosh are game changers, especially while tethering/roaming and switching networks.

Fascinating -- What about the SmackMBU breakdown made you lose all respect? Love that Rage sample they used in that track -- iconic! Sampling/Curating/Slicing is an art in itself.

kabr··on Ask HN: Shall I buy an 'ultrabook' or a MB Air?
Keep in mind that the screen illuminates the keyboard in the dark, so a backlit keyboard may be more for aesthetics than functionality. I never use it on my MBA.

Something I don't like about the MacBook Air (13"): Dedicated audio in/out -- there's a "hybrid" jack which annoys me. I thought lack of firewire would be limiting for older drives and external interfaces, but I don't miss it. I do run Windows when I need it for (minor) updates to files in solid modeling programs such as SolidWorks and animation such as Maya while traveling with a VM. Works great.

kabr··on Ask HN: professional gmail alternatives
To my knowledge, gmail always includes is own headers when sending mail, so it doesn't appear to be from your server, rather, it's from your domain VIA gmail.

Is there's a way around this and use gmail as a local pop-client?
