Holy crap! This is insanely awesome. I just tried out one of the courses and it's way easier to use this.
kkt262··on Show HN: Hyax – An All-in-One Selling Platform for Creators
Out of the box - A/B testing, digital products delivery, course creation, upsells (including post-purchase), order bumps, subscription billing, paid blogging/ memberships, and more.

Our weakness right now against Shopify is we have less features on the physical product side - like 3PL integrations, but we're building those out as we see more people need them.

kkt262··on Show HN: Hyax – An All-in-One Selling Platform for Creators
Hey guys! I'm one of the co-founders of Hyax along with Jack Paxton. I'm on the product side, so please let me know if you've got any questions about Hyax. Happy to answer them!

We call ourselves Shopify for digital creators. So we give you the ability to sell digital products / courses / memberships along with your regular eCommerce products.

To that end, we've built a pretty robust system for developing your courses & memberships and building out your ecommerce storefront.

This idea came to us when we realized that the space for ecommerce had several holes. Generally people use multiple plugins to solve these holes, but plugins are highly irregular and have security flaws.

We give you the ability to run marketing funnels along with your store, post-purchase upsells, order bumps. You can also sell subscriptions and set-up payment plans.

We also prioritize a beautiful looking UX and the ability to really customize your store.

Also A/B testing out of the box as well.

In essence, I built out the store that I wish I had as a marketer / entrepreneur.

Happy to take any questions =)

kkt262··on Launch HN: Jika (YC S20) – Price A/B Testing for Shopify
Why do you think you got accepted into YC? I'd love to check out your application.
kkt262··on IndieHackers.com acquired by Stripe
Courtland, this is absolutely fantastic. Congrats man!

I'm wondering how this works out for you as an entrepreneur. Obviously now you're working for a larger corporation, but does your long-term vision align? For example, is your deal structured in a way that growing indie hackers also personally grows your income? Or is it now just a strict employee-employer relationship with a bonus (acquisition offer) upfront?

kkt262··on Launch HN: Tress (YC W17) – Online community for black women's hairstyles
For other companies looking to get into YC, what do you think were the main factors that helped you get into the accelerator?
kkt262··on Google and Facebook ad traffic is 90% useless
You're so right. FB & Google doesn't work at all. Stop advertising on those sites, you're making my CPC go up.
kkt262··on Creative Tim: Growing a side project into a $17k/month business
Why don't Romanians just get remote jobs?
kkt262··on Ask HN: $1k+ side projecters, what was the best thing you did to market it?
Best sources for us (http://vyper.io) -- Product Hunt, Email marketing, content marketing (blogging), communities like Reddit / Inbound / GrowthHackers, and PPC (Adwords).
kkt262··on What companies have you said Why they are so big, I can do that over a weekend?
SurveyMonkey
kkt262··on Ask HN: What's a simple app/software that made a lot of money?
I'm pretty sure Angry Birds took a long time to make.
kkt262··on Ask HN: What's a simple app/software that made a lot of money?
This is an awesome looking site, but I doubt those apps were that simple to create. I could be wrong. I kind of meant like a "flashlight" app or something similar like that.
kkt262··on Startups that launched at Y Combinator S16 Demo Day 2
What can you do with 7% that you would be better than getting into YC? The better valuation terms alone would be worth the 7%. Alumni network is priceless. Hiring becomes easier. Talent becomes greater.
kkt262··on Startups that launched at Y Combinator S16 Demo Day 2
Not sure your logic is correct here. Real geniuses go to Harvard all the time and they like stamps of approval just like anyone else. Why would a genius not want a stamp of approval? Why would a good company not want a stamp of approval? Leonardo Dicaprio doesn't NEED an academy award but he wants one. Albert Einstein doesn't need to publicize his theorems for the world to gush over how smart he is, but he does it anyway. Genius chess players don't NEED to win competitions, but they want to for the recognition.
kkt262··on Startups that launched at Y Combinator S16 Demo Day 2
Simple Pickup is in Y Combinator. Nice!
kkt262··on Ask HN: Those making $1,000+/month on side projects – what did you make?
Nope, not up to that amount.
kkt262··on Ask HN: Those making $1,000+/month on side projects – what did you make?
Haha thanks man. We try.
kkt262··on Ask HN: Those making $1,000+/month on side projects – what did you make?
Yup. We both have full-time jobs.
kkt262··on Ask HN: Those making $1,000+/month on side projects – what did you make?
We make more than that with VYPER -- http://vyper.io
kkt262··on Harry Potter: Written by Artificial Intelligence
Looks like writers won't be losing their jobs anytime soon!
kkt262··on Ask HN: What was the app that lets you see a website's technologies?
I saw that one, but I think this one showed what tech stack you were using, for example, Ruby on Rails or PHP.
kkt262··on Important Changes to Mandrill
You and thousands of others man. I f*ckin hate Mailchimp.
kkt262··on Important Changes to Mandrill
Wow. Death to Mandrill. That sucks so much...
kkt262··on Less than 24 hours on Udemy as an instructor and I’m close to leaving
Udemy is a TERRIBLE platform. I'm surprised that so many instructors consent to putting their stuff on there. It's so much better to just have your content on your own hosted solution or Teachable (previously Fedora). Looks like there's a lot of room to innovate in this space.
kkt262··on Pirated Courses on Udemy
Besides piracy, udemy itself is just a terrible platform. Unless you agree to sell your course for $10, you'll pretty much never get promoted there organically. They want YOU to do all the work of promoting it to your list, etc. What's worse is that they close off their system as well, making it impossible for you to collect email addresses or send marketing messages.

It's a much better idea to use your own platform.

kkt262··on “It’s done, there is no way back. We tried, we failed”
It's interesting that failure articles seem to always go up to #1 on HackerNews. Why is that?
kkt262··on Ask HN: Any movies that changed your life?
A vote for Pursuit of Happyness, in fact it moved me so much I used it in my company's about page: http://hyperlush.com/about-hyperlush/

As messed up as they are, I also liked Wolf of Wall Street and Catch Me if You Can.

kkt262··on A LinkedIn Hack That Led to a $120k Investment
Love this article. It's always great to think outside the box, and the author of this article definitely did that.
kkt262··on LAX becomes largest U.S. airport to allow Uber, Lyft pickups
Awesome. Being in LA this is really good news.
kkt262··on Ask HN: What should be the point of being rich?
Capitalism works because having money gives the people an incentive to work harder and fit within the "system" of the government. This is why it's generally seen as a more favorable system than communism/socialism.
