I was in a band active in the mid 2000s (think myspace era) and we never signed up for, or collected any of our publishing. Somehow, we still stream quite well so have been actively trying to connect the dots on this stuff over the past few months.

They do NOT make it easy, and if you want to collect internationally as a DIY artist, its basically impossible. Trying to navigate this is almost a full time job.

As someone who spent many nights outside fenway shelling these shirts (a generation or two after the golden era described in the article), it's great to see some of these legendary stories collected and transcribed.

I think there's enough craziness in the stories I've heard for a decent book or movie.

Many people have found success using similar methods popularized by Martin Berkhan’s Leangains or Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat. So anecdotally, efficacy isn't just limited to Rats (although I don't know the state of controlled studies in humans).

It’s interesting watching these intermittent fasting styles grow from niche body building communities to general population. It seems to be a great heuristic based way of keeping overall food intake under control.

Probably more due to loss in lean body mass (muscle + bone, etc) than due to fat loss.
