kylepomykala··on AI delivers 'zero financial payoff' to most companies, Apollo economist says
My suspicion is that this is because AI employee-type systems like Dots or Grokbot just haven't been adopted yet. I think once they're good enough, that's going to be the catalyst for a lot of these companies to start adopting and using AI productively.

They just keep coming, don't they?
kylepomykala··on eMudhra intermediate CA compromise
I am shocked that one of the private keys was literally “4”. Anyone could have broken into this. I really hope there is an industry-wide effort to stop things like this in the future.... but I doubt it.

kylepomykala··on Pele – Mermaid diagrams as themeable SVG

I really wish we had an admin that would be willing to do this.
kylepomykala··on Coordination Headwind: How Organizations Are Like Slime Molds
It's interesting to fit my own experience into this - one of the biggest projects I worked on was created by this sort of coordination failure that got so big that it threatened millions of dollars in revenue.

It wasn't even that technical of a problem to solve, it was just making sure that everyone was on the same page for everything so that when we executed the solution it wouldn't explode in our faces.

I guess this is why in big tech, you level up in your politics skills much more thatn you do in your technical skills, but in startups you level up the technical skills much more.
