With unlimited PTO the biggest challenge is to define (both ways) what qualifies for a good reason to go on a leave.
I have enjoyed unlimited PTO wherever I had. But I tried to have my own benchmark of about four weeks in a year. Of course, there have been times when I needed more, and it was fine. There have been times when I didn't need four weeks either, and I was okay with that too!
Have used it in past to do exactly what you asked for.
In fact, that is even the link you shared shows. It compared the overall death rate with the official COVID numbers and proved the numbers are conservative, in US. Of course.
It would be good to have that attribution and that will require testing the deceased, but given the load on the system, everybody can extrapolate the scale and act accordingly.

BTW, Farmers have enjoyed their share of handouts which are more or less treated as entitlement now a days: 1. Tax free income 2. Subsidies, lona waivers, electricity bill waivers 3. Minimum Support Price for the longest time
And, frankly, at this stage if you think somebody like Modi or Rahul Gandhi or Kejriwal is about helping their friends make quick buck, the story doesn't add up. In their position they would think and act for legacy and it becomes much more a capability issue instead of intent.
That takes your general category availability to much higher number than 14.5% that you believe.
In fact, in India there are 4 different ways in which you can do online transfers across the banks (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and UPI). The latest iteration, UPI, is indeed state-of-art. It lets even companies like Amazon, Google, and PhonePe, which are not traditionally banks, to offer ability for people to do transfers from their Bank account. QR Code for UPI apps are very commonplace at least in metros and it enables nano transactions without really a fee to small merchants and users. There are lot of fail safe mechanisms and safety features built into the protocol and a user is not really hostage to the bank or the payment app as you can switch both at your will.

I think the something missing in Notion is keyboard shortcuts and overall feeling that it does not feel fast enough. For example navigating to a page and then jumping between pages requires more steps than I am comfortable.
I believe, but I might be wrong, a similar thing applies to a large number of Linux systems especially if you wish to build GUI apps.
P.S. Windows even used to require a paid version of their IDE Visual Studio for the longest time and a hefty subscription fee for MSDN. And, don't forget the concept of "Developer License" for things like SQL server.
Does that side project belong to you or to your company? If it belonged to you, why would you use office email ID for collaborating on it? and if it belonged to the company, why would you manage it on a personal Trello account?
Sorry to sound harsh, but unless I am missing something, to begin with, looks bad judgement on your part.
Using my employer's email addresses for services I want to control doesn't sound right. Of course, LinkedIn is a different story but for SaaS platforms like Trello, my employer should be the rightful owner of the data I store in there if I used it for work.
Imagine the other scenario, if that Trello account's control didn't move to the employer, the employee would still be keeping the content he created FOR the employer long after his employment has ended. I don't think that is cool.
Your data is your data, likewise, your employer's data is theirs. If you don't want any hassle, keep these two lives different.

You can't say password based authentication is bad because some developers choose to store password in plain text. The blame squarely lies with the developer.
People implementing auth without willing to go a little deeper may hurt themselves.
