luciandan··on Incident with Pull Requests, Git Operations and Issues
Each time something like this happens, I take another look at Forgejo. Using an AI assistant it's not that complicated to set up, but it does feel too complex. So then I accept the fact that GitHub is still the best in class for now.

Until next time. When I look into alternatives again. Probably, one day, I'll actually migrate away. But for now I shrug and tell myself that these things happen.

luciandan··on Show HN: Metrics, Monitoring, and Alerting for Agents
It does look useful, also as a discovery for Chirrop (I didn't know about it), but it would be nice for the repo to have a proper description, link to the homepage, and most importantly, a step by step guide (with screenshots or videos) on how it all comes together.
luciandan··on Cloudflare experiencing multiple active incidents
I guess this always has been happening and perhaps always will. AI might influence uptime, but can't really promise anything, especially not 100%.
luciandan··on Spark: Sparklines in your shell
That is so cool, that now I'm brainstorming CLI things to build that need a sparkline. Wonder if Claude Code can learn to use this.
luciandan··on Bye, Bye GitHub
So why no self-hosted GitLab then?
luciandan··on The Twelve-Factor App (2025)
I love it how this is still at thing. Good principles never die, just like good music I guess.
luciandan··on Show HN: My Claude quota ran out in 10 minutes, so I made a tool to find out why
Pretty cool tool! Congrats! Not sure if I'm missing something but this tells you where your tokens went, breakdown per day/tool. So the "why" is still a question left for the user to answer. Can be something like "Because I was missing a good CLAUDE.md file so it had to explore the whole repo before doing any work" or anything else. Just my take.
luciandan··on Two German airport workers die of malaria after 'mosquito arrives on plane'
They do but chances are it's not 100% effective.
luciandan··on Two German airport workers die of malaria after 'mosquito arrives on plane'
I guess this can still happen, depends for each person. Some people have higher immunity for certain bugs.
luciandan··on Harness Engineering
I like how agent review is a deprecation target. explicitly. Se then a harness matures by getting dumber and cheaper, not smarter.
luciandan··on Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $13B
Marginally misleading title, article mentioned that "Nvidia has been in talks", not agreed to anything just yet.
luciandan··on Qwen 3.8-Flash-Next releasing tomorrow (125B a6B)
Coming soon...
luciandan··on Claude: Elevated errors across all models – Resolved
It's Anthropic's way of making sure you're spreading out your usage :)
luciandan··on Elevated Errors for Opus 5
Just like when there's an internet outage. Go for a walk, talk to your friends. Live a little :)
luciandan··on Ask HN: Would you rent M3 Ultra from me?
About the legal aspect, are you sure? Amazon and basically ANY VPS in the world is lending you their machine (or part of it), and you're still 100% responsible with what you do with it.
luciandan··on Ask HN: Should I Promote My SaaS to get first 100 Customers without budget
but it shouldn't be. I'm 100% sure there are ethical ways to get your first 100 without paying to get to them.
luciandan··on Telegram Serverless
So basically wire this up to OpenRouter and you have your own LLM chat with your rules, storage, memory etc.

Pretty neat!

(Meanwhile Whatsapp's API-based bot is typically only free at very small volume or during specific free windows how are they so far behind?)

luciandan··on Just launched Monitive: Detect downtime before your customers do
Aside from the fact that Monitive is our vision of how simple should an uptime monitoring be, it's much simpler than Pingdom and not backed by an enterprise corporation.
