Inkscape is a pretty good tool to edit .pdfs
when you import a regular .pdf, it needs to convert it once, and once saved, you can edit the pdf and work on it as if it was a regular .svg
if you choose to embed the fonts when saving, .pdf files becomes easy to work on, you don't even need to export them.
- do several backups (not using the same hardware brand or host if you do it online)
- check your backup (if something was wrong, you have another backup from the first rule)
- do not store your backups at the same place (if your place get flooded or burn, it will be pretty handy)

>Television glitch --> In broadcasting, a corrupted signal may glitch in the form of jagged lines on the screen, misplaced squares, static looking effects, freezing problems, or inverted colors. The glitches may affect the video and/or audio (usually audio dropout) or the transmission. These glitches may be caused by a variety of issues, interference from portable electronics or microwaves, damaged cables at the broadcasting center, or weather.
On computers, those happens when some of the data (video, audio, image) is corrupted or lost.
Glitch art: some of those glitches create cool effects that you can see a sort of photoshop filter ; ffglitch helps you corrupt files/create those effect for artistic purpose.
You can see cool examples of glitch video art there: https://ffglitch.org/gallery/ ; they show the original clip, and then the glitched version

You can also have corrupted sounds, you can check 'The Glitch Mob' which is an group creating music, with samples that sounds corrupted.
You keep on testing/experimenting daily, slowly getting the hang of it one software at a time. And once you found how to do everything you have to on linux, you're just ready to switch.

If you ignore accents, some words can be mistaken for other words (with different accents), but if you check the context, the problem quickly go away.
Accents are just useful to help you pronounce correctly words ; they are also a hint about the word's origin (ex: ^ means the words is greek) ; I don't get why it stopped you from learning the language.
