Is this really 1A when we are talking about mental health of our children? It's fairly well established that no pornography consumption is a net positive.
Is anyone else making similar progress? I've followed along somewhat with the RISC-V movement, but not in sufficient detail.
Any add'l resources in this area are appreciated.
However, Snowden had been stealing classified intel premeditatively for a long period of time, and had contact with actors who had the knowledge and contacts to plan such a ruse in advance. Given his high intelligence and exacting personality, haphazardly leaking to the press from HK prior to obtaining asylum seems to be out of character.
I do believe strongly that Snowden would have told elaborate, pre-fabricated lies, if it were to his benefit.
many celebs have personal protection details. how such protection details behave likely varies widely..
as for your concerns, pay close attention to your cybersecurity posture before engaging with people who will draw attention to you simply by association.
The last person told me in the same conversation that Peter Thiel would recognize him. As Mr. Thiel has many interests, there was no reason to believe this person was connected to Palantir. However, Palantir sure came to mind while I processed this last interaction like a deer in headlights.
$100k would not be an entirely unexpected milestone sooner rather than later.
What would happen if such weapons were refined on a user across social media platforms over a multi-decade timeframe? Could you invoke self-destruction of a person intentionally?
Whether the comment was incorrect in this case related to the paper in question doesn't invalidate the strategy, generally. Might be easier to pass scientific misinfo/disinfo if it were more difficult to reproduce, of course.
The comment was likely done in haste, meant to convey general strat that warrants consideration when examining the paper -- but could be easily invalidated, as you pointed out.
Mainly, American culture could use a strong dose of reality check. This appears to be the case in terms of publicly stating that we are retooling global intelligence missions from Cold War (t-40yrs) and War on Terror (t-20yrs), to the China threat.
Awareness of strategies, capabilities of the enemy, and what's at stake will help reduce Western complacency.
The phrasing of your response re-interpretating/rephrasing my statement is misleading/inaccurate.
IME, it's plausible that nation/state strat pertinent to QC advances is to hide the true extent of cutting edge breakthroughs. This makes sense considering what's at stake. China is suspected to engage in bioengineering for their soldiers and it's not a stretch to speculate they also seek such synthetic advantages with their vast armies of engineers and scientists. This would lay fertile ground for secret breakthroughs in, e.g., QC.
I assume that both China and USA/fyev seek to obtain secret radical advances in key areas such as QC. The urgency for adopting quantum resistant crypto suggests such concerns might be shared by powers that be. QC breakthroughs are unpredictable, so the smart move is to assume the enemy could make secret advances at any time.
If Satoshi Nakamoto did lose his keys to those treasure trove wallets, those will be up for grabs, as will anyone who lost keys.
Perhaps hoarded encrypted PCAP's aren't the only motivator for quantum opportunists.

What's the technical feasibility of migrating BTC's pow scheme to quantum-resistant hashing?
What is the technical feasibility of migrating wallet/private keys to quantum-resistant crypto?
Would any such migration of wallet/private keys be dependent on public/non-public interactions with the blockchain by wallet holders, and would those interactions introduce deanonymization or other risks?
If I didn't have a team to deal with a large Elixir codebase (a common issue), I'd glue PHP and BEAM together anyway, even going as far as to pass along the "meat and potatoes" backend work to PHP even for socket interactions (or in some asynchronous way, as needed). In that scenario, the Elixir sockets frontend could be fairly minimal, both in terms of codebase and DB interactions, and would possibly not need a lot of code changes over time.
