I guess it's a way to convey informality and rejection of "the norm" sacrificing legibility.

It's probably a way to express freedom, like the freedom of just refusing to consume unreadable walls of text that disrespect the reader. Freedom goes both ways.

Pre 2020 HN reading this would be stoked.

> Why are people even so dumb to use TV apps for a fucking TV?

To address both the arrogant tone and the question itself: because sometimes people don’t have, don’t want to have or cannot use a computer connected to a TV.

Not everyone is a HN commenter with anger issues. Most of times these devices (TVs, streaming sticks and so on…) are used by normal folks that are not comfortable with computers.

Seems the Antichrist is way closer to him than he thinks.

/s (but not much)

I’d say more than €5.

Interesting to see this post has no author or signature...

This is just spectacular. Evil, of course, but spectacular nevertheless.

Same!

I’m struggling to figure out if this is a joke.

Thanks.

That’s the thing: I’m in the US.

This is absolutely gorgeous!

I was impacted too: it seems certain payment methods in ApplePay are showing up as "expired" even though they're valid.

For impacted users the services that auto-renew are defaulting: in case there are other cards the transaction follows through in priority order, otherwise it'll just fail.

To check: open Settings.app->Your Name at the Top->Payment & Shipping

That’s absolutely not what’s written there and I’m surprised the context - and the narrative goal of the article - is not being grasped.

To put it more simply and distill it even more the gist is: “senior professionals know how to work and can manage their work structure/pace”.

The reference repository - with some more information - seems to be on [1]. It also includes meeting minutes other than some early API spec.

Ah! Meeting information are also included... you know, in case one is interested in attending.;-)

Happy to see op had a good experience with it. I chose to go back to MacPorts few years ago and only had splendid experiences with it so far.
