So if this was really true, how come there aren't AI recruiters who scan the supposedly obscure newspapers for job ads like these and bring them to their clients and make a fat commission when their (clearly superior US based candidate ) demonstrates throughout the interview process that they are capable of doing the job.
Some of us know just as well as folks in San Francisco how to instruct claude to write code.
Just like there are talented software engineers driving the AI to create the software that "it" builds, and talented steel workers, teachers, nurses etc who use computers and other machines to create value all over the economy (without whom, the machines they use at work would be worthless).
Capital owners have always sought to minimise the value of the input that "workers" make in the process of creating value. Maybe now that information workers are on the wrong end of this deal, they might develop some empathy and solidarity with their fellow working class comrades and together, demand that people recapture the value that capital has stolen from them.
They don't (or at least shouldn't) get to keep the assets without also honouring the liabilities.
Can't get through life without gambling at least a little bit.
Even taking out a life insurance policy is making a bet you're going to die before it expires
Most folks don't have disposable income after rent and bills until they're 30.
Is it? Or is it that an increasing proportion of total income ends up going to the people who find ways of hiding it such that it does not get distributed.
So cool to watch the AI get into a tight learning loop when it has access to all the internal data structures.
Yes exactly! https://docs.gimp.org/3.2/en/gimp-using-script-fu-tutorial.h...
Maybe I'm more attuned to this type of thing having grown up as a national of a smaller state living in the shadow of a bigger state but you constantly see actors from the bigger state belittling and condescending anything contributed socially or economically from the smaller state.
And I see this sort of dynamic here in this forum where Americans very frequently talk condescendingly like this about Europe generally and European tech especially (they did it to China too but China smartly ignored this self-interested nonsense and carried on anyway which is what Europeans should do).
It really grates on me and presumably many others. But it serves an agenda too of a lot of the founders and financiers that hang out here that have big fat customers in Europe they'd like to keep sweet and competitors they'd like to keep down.
Just the co-founders eh? Fuck off Paul.
and claude opens up a new emacs frame (aka "window" if you're not an emacs doc writer) with a magit diff buffer of whatever we've been working on. This happens instantly because the emacs server is already running since startup and this is just popping up a little client window
