namblooc··on I am done with this shit
The top comment, yes, but not determined by user votes but rather by reddit deciding to shove more AI down its users' throats
namblooc··on Bun 1.4 Rust rewrite is not looking good?
I'm curious as to what other definitions of the term exist, other than the academic one? I had never though of using the term in any other context. But maybe that's because I've been concerning myself with this specific topic for too long.

Robert Sapolsky would disagree
namblooc··on Nintendo has raised its employees base salary by 10%
Can you provide counter arguments to mine, though? It does not reduce wealth if dealt with correctly as an individual. It is meant to incentivize investments rather than hoarding, i.e., doing nothing with your money, as I explained.

A capitalist society needs inflation in order to produce a desirable outcome. It is a driver of consumption, as opposed to people and organizations hoarding their money in a deflationary environment, as well as investments, because inflation leads to the devaluation of loans over time.

How can a word come from the Bible? It must have existed before the Bible in order to have a meaning inside of it. Or did you mean to write it came from Aramaic?
namblooc··on Genetic underpinnings of chills from art and music
I'm going to chime in with some more examples of (for me) chills inducing classical music pieces:

- Mozarts Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor (very dark)

- Rossinis Barber of Seville Overture

- Mozarts "The Magic Flute" Overture (helps if you know the opera)

- Mozarts Symphony No. 39 in E, as soon as the allegro starts

- Schuberts Symphony No. 8 "Unfinished", the whole thing makes me want to burst with excitement

namblooc··on Poll HN: What operating system do you primarily develop on?
I'm surprised at the small number of Windows users. At my workplace every computer has Windows installed and we didn't really have a choice about it, although I never asked. Also, as a fullstack web developer, I don't really see why I would prefer one over the other, since they all support VSCode and I can write code on any one of them. But then again, I exist inside of an echochamber of Windows users so I'm pretty clueless on how development is different on other OSs.

Why do these blog posts always assume that utilization of AI makes employees faster at coding when the opposite has been proven to be true?

I was never involved in doing ML myself, even through my CS studies. However, from the outside it looks... not that complicated? How do they justify these salaries? Where do they see it coming back to them in terms of revenue?

You don't become a good editor, inspector, what have you, by having other people/machines write all the code for you. To become and, perhaps more relevant, to stay a good reviewer, you need to regularly write code from scratch to see how it works. On top of that, languages, frameworks and libraries change constantly and you need to write and execute and experiment with new code to see exactly how it behaves so that you can eventually review the code that uses these features. Good reviewers are not born good reviewers!

That got me curious how the author debugs his code using a notebook!
