nickfixit··on Show HN: Omnara – Run Claude Code from anywhere
This is awesome. Should have android. This is why I use termius and ssh. I can be in and out of anything with Claude. Just a large pain in the ass with input lag and terminals with the keyboard.
nickfixit··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (June 2025)
o.O. Yess
nickfixit··on Linkwarden: FOSS self-hostable bookmarking with AI-tagging and page archival
I like hoarder(karakeep). It's got an API and mcp server as well to play with now locally and self hosted. I'll check this out as well.
nickfixit··on An intro to DeepSeek's distributed file system
I've been using JuiceFS since the start for my AI stacks. Similar and used postgresql for the meta.
nickfixit··on No one asked for this: Google is testing round keys in Gboard
I just want a damn Ctrl key......
nickfixit··on The 'no. 8 wire' tradition in New Zealand
I did a different way and called my lan center 8wire for Ethernet cables. This is interesting as well haha
nickfixit··on Trying out Zed after more than a decade of Vim/Neovim
More blah.
nickfixit··on AI isn't going to kill the software industry
This is the way.
nickfixit··on I Program with LLMs
Me as well. But sometimes I like the hallucinations of aider and other tools and just let it iterate over and over and over. Kind of fun to see. But by no means a drop in replacement for actual knowledge.
nickfixit··on Ask HN: My 12 year-old nephew just got diagnosed with ADHD, any advice?
Your lack of knowledge in this shows.
nickfixit··on Docker Compose Isn't Enough
Probably before llms figure it out
nickfixit··on Show HN: NotesHub: cross-platform, Markdown-based note-taking app
Wish I could convert my obsidian data over to check it all out. Also themes. Having themes makes it enjoyable to make notes.
nickfixit··on Show HN: Mark CLI – use Markdown, images and links to interact with GPT4o
danielmiessler.com/p/fabric-origin-story. A tool I've been using as well.
nickfixit··on Markdown: An effective tool for LLM interaction
Fabric and this!!! This is promising to build on.

together with obsidian is my setup I am trying to build now. I'm using obsidian to plan the vector and meta data to pull and reference with the assistants and building function tools to query.
