So a stable release is too unstable for them? And now the first thing users will have to do is after install, apply all the bug fix packages to bring it to 14.04. But that will bring no unstability concerns? Or will they just not patch it and expose themselves to the bugs in the name of stability?
The hardware was not quite standardized at that time so CP/M had a layered structure consisting of a BIOS, BDOS and the command line processor. The BIOS was the hardware abstraction layer and was ported to the specific combination of hardware. The BDOS provided the file system and the command line processor provided a standardized interface. On top of this you would run the BASIC interpreter as an application.
Okay let me give you a specific case. There is a drug for Hepatitis which is crazy expensive in US at $85K. They are licensing it for $2K in India. Even when you factor for cost of living differences, it is still less expensive in India. The drug companies don't care because they can make their profits in the US while making it cheaper elsewhere.
I think it happens with medicines though not voluntarily. Basically in the US the drug companies have bought out the politicians so the price of medicines are sky high. Meanwhile in many countries like India, the government has negotiated or busted patents to get affordable medicines. The drug companies can live with this as long as Americans pay for the full cost of medicines.
The one thing I like about my current watch is that is is solar charged. I haven't had any issues with replacing batteries for nearly 7 years. I'm not sure if I'm ready to charge yet another device on a regular basis.
I've used it for new hires. Helps get quick closure on those whose decision is right on the edge. Also you get to know how strong an interest they have. But if they ask for more time, I usually give it. They just have to be confident enough to ask.
If all you need is _land_, there is plenty of cheap land in the US. But you just have to live away from the big population centers. But then if you are going to be self sustaining, you don't need to near a big population center.
Mostly up to highschool and standardized exams. In college usually there was no constraints though many professors stated that we have to clear the memory before the exam. I used to have an HP48 for most of my college years.
I have a 1998 Honda Civic Sedan which other than an oil change and tuneup, has been running fine. More than once people have asked me if I was interested in selling it most likely due to how reliable these cars are.
