nukanse··on A Jev that can ask Opus for help gives Opus accuracy at 4x lower cost
You will depend on a super intelligent AI whose purpose is to take money from you
nukanse··on So my ISP was hijacking my DNS
Some day we will find aliens, and I wonder if we will be well prepared against their hacking or find we are naively vulnerable
nukanse··on Guerrilla bike lanes: San Francisco makes illicit infrastructure permanent (2016)
Buenos Aires has much better solution: pedestrians carry crosswalk lines in their imagination, and they can apply them anywhere it's needed, at zero cost to the municipality.

More public spending will eventually lead those byciclers out of the state
nukanse··on Frustrated ranchers want people to quit 'rescuing' their working guardian dogs
The solution are polar bears that protect the dogs from being stolen. And anacondas to protect the bears from PETA.
nukanse··on Adding Window Functions to a Spreadsheet
Somebody should implement compiled spreadsheets, to get more speed.
nukanse··on Show HN: I built a tool that prices a pre-built PC part by part
I suggest to add mini PCs. You can buy motherboards and other parts, but some have soldered cpus. They are cheaper, so it may be a good deal anyways.
nukanse··on OSS project renders your Windows 11 desktop using the NPU rather than the GPU
Ironically, the NPU was supposed to do the AI work instead of the GPU, but instead it's used to work as the GPU to unload AI work from the GPU.
nukanse··on AI Can Read Neural Network Weights. I Wasn't Ready for That
Ai should already have capabilities about which we don't know and will never know or even suspect.
nukanse··on Microsoft fixes a Windows 11 annoyance as PC revenue declines
It had the option. It didn't worked. It used cpu for hours and nothing was deleted.
nukanse··on Verification Is Not Knowledge: Science needs more than answers
There is evidence that humans were smarter thousands of years ago. Fossils found had larger brains than modern humans. Maybe civilization, by making life easier, causes humans to become less intelligent. After AI makes our lives easier, maybe humans will lose their minds.

That doesn't works, and it's a 1 year old laptop that came with 2024 windows 11 that accumulated updates up to 26h2.
nukanse··on C++26 Disapproved
C++ should focus into turning SIMD into a higher level language instead of being a giant collection of intrinsics. Avx code is unreadable.
nukanse··on Microsoft fixes a Windows 11 annoyance as PC revenue declines
My sister gave me his win 11 laptop to fix. 1 Tb SSD was full. Half of it was windows.old folder after 26h2 update. Windows has 5 different ways to delete that folder and none works. They are all badly documented. It spends 1 hour reading the file list before starting to delete... On a 4 tb/second nvme drive. Then spend a day "deleting" the folder, but doesn't deletes anything.

Finally, booted an Linux rescue distro from USB and deleted the folder.

Then had to clean the winsxs folder, which was full of useless files after an update.

In the end I cleaned 700 gb wasted.

The only "game" I could not run on Cachy Os Linux is 3DMark. Some benchmark run, but not all.

You just made me check the CNN website. It had black font on black background. Run by incompetents.
