oldshatterhand··on Firefox got faster for real users in 2023
I had to switch from Firefox to Safari on my M1 Max 16" MacBook Pro because the battery drains in a few hours. I experimented a lot with turning different plugins on and off, but the power draw remained almost constant.

oldshatterhand··on Ask HN: Lists of Russian Software to Boycott?
I have nothing against the average Russian.

I am a fan of some of the higher aspects of Russian culture, including hardbass. But this is about getting a message across to the Russian society, that their inaction on the political front is leading their country and the World into WW3.

EVERY TIME the average Russian decides to close their eyes to the horrors perpetrated by their leaders, something very bad happens and who suffers most? The Russians.

They got their act together in 1991, they must get their act together now.

Thank you, it's a start!
