Nothing to see here.
I remember seeing a website with the same concept as what the OP has done but with gorillas. It was during the early HTML5 and web socket days and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
I tried googling for it but nothing came up. Appreciate if anyone can give me a lead.
Bottomline: "But despite all the missteps and stress, the results might justify all the pain. I expected the new website to increase sales by 10-20%, but it’s been closer to 40%."
I once let the Premium lapsed and was bombarded by aggressive ads. Immediately turned Premium back on and it was almost, I kid you not, zen-like.
Most of the rules actually applies across all types of roles and not just a engineering one.
Gonna print this one out and nailed it on my desk.
I recently seen many youtubers having their channel hijacked due to hackers taking over their Google account.
- Give more line-height between each bullet point. - You use white for time and blue for unvisit links. The contrast for the time is stronger than the link, resulting in more reading effort. Change up the contrast to focus where you want the reader to look at easily
I'm a Singaporean and we spent alot of time in our younger years straining our eyes on books and computers.
Then I started surfing amazon books because, you know, anything to procrastinate working.
I came across one of Tim grover's book (Michael Jordan' trainer) and I downloaded the sample to read.
It's a little OOT but something he said rang a bell. He talk about humans overthinking especially in tough situation and gave a pep talk on being relentless. My takeway was "don't think, just do". Suppress the negative voice and just work on it. Nothing is easy. If you want something bad enough, don't think. Just do it.
I think it triggers my inner motivation on why I started my business and being hyper aware of the negative self talk.
So I put myself in robot mode and just started doing things.
I'm not sure how this is healthy for my mental health but it worked.
Since you are based in US, the advice there will fit you better. I'm based in Singapore so advice like taking yearly dividend from the company is not feasible for me.
Doesn't look like a VC-backed app right now.
Compared to DK website, his looks way way more polished.
Just my two cents.
I have been reading up a lot on customer acquisition especially from 0 - 100 and also tweeting abt it (https://twitter.com/p0larboy). If anyone has a good resource on this, please let me know.

He is highly-skilled, or at least he believes himself to be.
But he doesn't believe in marketing. "Marketers are bottom-feeders."
Said plumber did not do well. Blame everyone except his ego.
I see that Winnie have great topics discussion with questions asked and answered by users.
For a new forum, there are bound to be empty-room syndromes.
How did you guys manage to kickstart discussions in the beginning? Is it all organic or is there some growth hack involved?
This qns have been bothering me a while and I can't seem to get any good readings anywhere else.
But that car was the stuff of nightmares. Just google "scirocco dsg gearbox problems". I simply cannot imagine why a huge car manufacturer could produce such a faulty car.
Apparently, scirocco is not the only model to be affected by this.
The biggest pain point so far is adding analytics but otherwise, everything is pretty smooth sailing.
Also I come from a web developer background, so structuring layout isn't too unfamiliar. AMA if you have any qns. I'm looking to pour all these experiences into a blog post before my next distraction comes and terrorizes my short-term memories
