par··on What’s getting pwned right now

Ok when can i get this in codex?
par··on When did Google get so weird?
I think by weird you mean "paid off by and in the pockets of AI billionaires"
par··on A Tale of Two Commit Messages (Claude vs. Codex)
i dont think the length always necessitates correctness or accuracy.

"a wonderful idea" -- some hyperbole there.
par··on Playa Phone
For those in need of a refresher, the dialogue is "“I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you."
par··on App Store Rejection of the Week: Dark Hours
Many years ago, like in 2017, my wife and I designed a dating app that was based on astrological matching. We knew it was tongue in cheek and advertised at as such. At that time we got a clear rejection from the App Store that they were no longer going to allow astrology apps. Fair enough, we pivoted the dating app to something else and it has been in the store doing fine for years now. But what we noticed was sometime around 2020, all of a sudden apple allowed a huge influx of new astrology apps into the store. It made no sense to us and seemed like bullshit, but what can you do?

I have been a HUGE uptick in pro-israel content, a lot of really weird cringe-ey OF type content too. Just strange.
par··on The worst job interview I ever had
I hope you gave them feedback on this, that's really messed up!
par··on I'm Tired of Talking to AI
So what is stopping you from going to talk to your neighbor right now?
par··on I'm Tired of Talking to AI
Maybe this is a signal the author themselves needs to get better at adopting AI...
par··on Qwen3.7-Max: The Agent Frontier
I just started running coding agents locally. So you recommend Pi over opencode? (And obviously aider is out?)
par··on Qwen3.7-Max: The Agent Frontier
Do you have an opinion on OpenCode vs Aider?
par··on I don't think AI will make your processes go faster
> No, the code is actually almost always correct.

I wouldn't go that far. It is actually almost always incorrect in that its incomplete. It also needs more iterating and bug fixing.

par··on I don't think AI will make your processes go faster
While this is all true and we keep beating this dead horse, the other reality is that while it may not take less time, it certainly takes less people now. And that can't be ignored.
par··on Image-blaster: Creates 3D environments, SFX, and meshes from a single image
I’m ready to make a game with this, or something similar. Open to suggestions on tooling and asset pipelines that utilize AI, if anyone has any suggestions or guides.

par··on Anthropic downgraded cache TTL on March 6th
Claude code has gone down hill in a really bad way. It is often far too quick to make significant changes, and requires much higher level of hand-holding and explanation than I am used to. r/claudecode on reddit shows a litany of complaints!
par··on Most people can't juggle one ball
I assumed most software eng from the early aughts can all juggle.
par··on DigitalOcean Seeks $800M in Funding
That's right. Wow seems like a lifetime ago. Remember Media Temple?? haha.
par··on DigitalOcean Seeks $800M in Funding
I've been a loyal digital ocean customer for years, I switched away from Linode way back when (for reasons I don't even remember.) I'm extremely happy with the DO service, so here's to hoping they don't screw it all up!!
