peroids··on Ask HN: Has anyone had success with SBIR grants and what is the process like?
I deal with them a lot and I’d need more context to answer your questions. The space and problem set matter a lot.

What companies fail to do is reach beyond their sponsors to find a program office or a sponsor who can push for sustainment.

Honestly, need a lot more information to give you an answer.

peroids··on Ask HN: Is anyone working at least 4 hours daily on an Apple Vision Pro?
Yes, I work 8+ hours a day and love it. I find it difficult to go back to regular screens.
peroids··on Why does Amazon have no Western rivals?
Amazon gets the majority of its revenue from AWS I believe, it also always re-invests everything right back into Amazon including buying up competitors or ripping off the most popular items in their website.

Walmart interface also just sucks.

peroids··on Ask HN: My side project has 5 happy paying customers. How do I get more?
You need to market to private schools. - Consider ways to easily transfer all their data off the systems they’re currently using (do the work for them) - Make it an all in one fundraising, class mgt, gradebook, etc. stop (this includes analysis, right now most schools don’t do analysis at all)

peroids··on The story of DOGE, as told by federal workers
Yo, probably the best way to push through that tape is to play with another DoD entity who pays for your trams travel while you pay for theirs.

This will get you around the contractor requirement and the red tape.

I work in a DoD innovation org at the staff ;-) if you have questions let me know.
