If you're diaspora and other smaller interest groups for sure, but the general citizen probably wouldn't care at an individual level. I'd argue that the NSA revelations and how everything just got worse and worse since then killed any chance of the public caring about this kind of stuff.
I'd say it would be a a reasonable perspective if his case was being tried where the offences actually took place and/or where he was a citizen of and not a country who refuses to give the same rights to non-citizens being tried there compared to citizens[1] and wasn't even where the offense took place. This is absolutely chilling for anyone who isn't an US citizen honestly.
This same foreign country who passed laws for invading the hague if they came under trial for crimes in the ICC.

With that being said it could also be incompetence and/or corruption, but ignoring the embargo completely is just working to weaken your argument.
The interests might at times be veiled under a discourse of "rights" or "democracy" or whatever and at times this discourse might even be valid, however the underlying reasoning for it rarely lies there as the kings and his friends are free to do whatever they please.
For a given meaning of adversary it is, for others it isn't, clearly the line in the sand at least for the US is when they are at war, arguably when a trade ban happens if we want to be a bit more relaxed with definitions. If you do disagree and believe the line in the sand encompasses china the real worry should not be a "measly" 3 billion from random VCs but the 1 trillion dollars of the US national debt china holds.
> You don’t ship fentanyl and other synthetic drugs to a country you are friends with.
You ship them to where people are buying them, unless you're saying it's a government operation and not a case of lax export regulations, which I'd be very surprised if it was the case, at least directly.
I do think the AAA market is recovering a little however in the last few years, pretty much exclusively thanks to japan.
> Reddit leadership has already proven they only wish to harm both shareholders and the community at large under the guise of "increasing shareholder value" and shove their fiduciary duty under the bus.
reddit isn't a public company, so unless the current owners who are the ones putting all this in motion are looking into self-flagellation they haven't proven a thing. The reality is that reddit is huge, and most users couldn't care less about all this drama.
Trying to get himself smuggled out of russia is not realistic, and honestly kind of pointless at this point.

There are a few holes glaring holes in this methodology but just one is that she has 8.7k followers in Mastodon since joining in late 2022, while she has 241k followers on twitter since 2009. It's not surprising that the users that followed her in the last 5 months are more engaged than the ones that followed her in the previous 14 years. Are the people that just aren't interested in her content or that just stopped using twitter after a 14 year span necessarily grifters/leeches/spammers?
I don't know about 1 but simply due to scale 2 is probably true, however this experiment isn't saying much.
