Indeed. That's what's so invasive about tracking - anything that can be done to track you, will be done.
What if my search had been something more personal? Something I didn't want my wife to know about?
There's no way to opt-out of all this. We're being force fed this for the benefit of some corporation, somewhere.
Last night, my wife has Facebook adverts for chicken coops pop up on her laptop. We've not spoken about chicken coops since, I've not searched for chicken coops since the original search, she's not searched for chicken coops on her laptop and she's not used my work laptop.
Creepy.
If they want to track you with a "normal" browser, they'll find a way of doing it.
What's the reason for this? Is it a hardware restriction? I suppose an artificial software restriction could be removed by using root / other camera software.
Reading the blog post it seems as though camelcamelcamel will be forced to shut at soon, too?
I agree - it's the shittest, most user-unfriendly method of securing something against spam I've ever encountered.
I can't register at their forums as it requires a keyword which you can only get by emailing keyword@sublimetext.com - I've tried three times and each time I've been ignored. I've also tried email the other ST employee, but been ignored also.
Very frustrating when I've paid for a licence.
I've had no speed issues, they have lots of locations, accept bitcoin, no logging and their owners are quite frequently on the use forums.
I think they're based out of Italy.
I'd like to see how their offering stands up to that.
(Actually, I don't know how Selenium will stand up to that... maybe I should have left this comment until I've got the results!)
Google+ is a great example - it slows to a crawl after a few minutes of browsing - it particularly becomes unusable when I scroll down and it loads more content via AJAX.
I'm on Xubuntu 13.04.
Did you ever have an interest in djing?
Unfortunately my addiction to vinyl rules me out of what would likely be an expensive purchase. Best of kick with your sale.
Whatever was actually released, how about people realise that Github isn't the be all and end all of open source code distribution.
Note: it's a shame most of the comments here are about the title of this post.
Bitbucket is absolutely brilliant.
It's a really clean interface and the free private repos suit me perfectly.
Thanks for your work - a new customer here.
Only thing I'd add is the last commit details on folder names.
