Nvidia could potentially bring us all the year of Linux Desktop.
prollyjethi··on AI hallucinations: Why LLMs make things up (and how to fix it)
I am honestly very skeptical of articles like these. Hallucinations are a feature of LLMs. The only ways to "FIX" it is to either stop using LLMs. Or use a super bias some how.
prollyjethi··on Ask HN: Should Python web frameworks care about ASGI?
> If Robyn is not an instrumented SSL terminating load balancer with HTTP/3 support, there must still be an upstream HTTP server that could support ASGI.

See I'd like to believe that. However, there is no ASGI-compliant server that supports this properly(at least in the Python world).

And when the community demands/needs the feauture, I see no reason why I won't bake the above features in Robyn itself.

> reusable, tested "middleware" because there's an IInterface there.

Robyn has a drop-in replacement for these. So, these should not be a problem.

Having said that, I feel I could document these facts a bit boldly to clear out the doubts.

We have launched the latest version of Robyn, which introduces a unique way of adding Rust code to Python APIs. It now seamlessly incorporates Rust code within Python APIs, DIRECTLY! + =

For the unaware - Robyn is one of the fastest Python web frameworks.

I have jotted down some opinions on this topic, on how this feature can grant us access to some unexplored possibilities.

This post delves into the challenges of Python in heavy-load scenarios and how Rust, with its performance capabilities, can be a game-changer.

The blog covers the journey from identifying the issue to the innovative solution Robyn offers, blending Python's ease with Rust(and PyO3)’s efficiency. Do let me know what you folks think of it.

prollyjethi··on Ask HN: How will the AI wearables address the privacy concerns?
> From the top of my head, I'd wager the cost of transmitting that data is not worth it for how low-quality the input would be.

Why is that? If the data is good enough to make an inference, will it not be good enough for transcription?

I am curious what makes it low quality?

prollyjethi··on Robyn v0.32.0 Introduces SubRouters – A Compact Way to Group Routes
Greetings HN Community!

I'm excited to share an update on a project that I've been working on: Robyn (https://github.com/sansyrox/robyn/). For those who might be unfamiliar, Robyn is a fast, asynchronous Python web framework that is built over a Rust runtime.

In the latest release (v0.32.0), we have introduced a feature that I believe many will find useful - SubRouters. This feature provides a more efficient and compact way to group routes, working seamlessly with both standard routes and web sockets. Consider it like a miniature version of the main router, designed to optimize your routing architecture.

You can explore more about this new feature here: https://github.com/sansyrox/robyn/releases/tag/v0.32.0

We are constantly striving to improve and expand Robyn's capabilities, and your feedback is crucial to this process. We would greatly appreciate any thoughts or comments you might have on the SubRouters feature or on Robyn in general. Looking forward to hearing from you all!

prollyjethi··on Ask HN: What are some good terminals for Linux now?
I don't know, maybe support Linux desktops properly?
prollyjethi··on Ask HN: What are some good terminals for Linux now?
I've never used Contour, Foot and Wezterm. How do they compare with Alacritty and Kitty?
prollyjethi··on Ask HN: What are some good terminals for Linux now?
I have used Kitty a lot but it has many things missing. Like you can't simply edit the settings like in iTerm2.

And the history search is also lacking. I have to write regex all the time for it to work decently.

prollyjethi··on Show HN: Robyn – A fast, extensible async Python web server with a Rust runtime
Hey, The project is still in early stage and hence I don't show many comparisons.

Here is a benchmark on TechEmpower - https://www.techempower.com/benchmarks/#section=test&runid=4...

I also have a comparison on the docs website: https://sansyrox.github.io/robyn/#/comparison

And my own benchmark code is https://github.com/sansyrox/robyn-comparison-benchmarks
