They’re gonna turn Stadia back on. Who can afford personal graphics cards and memory these days?
pyvpx··on Paramount Skydance has completed its $111B merger with Warner Bros. Discovery
Not the Zionists. You can ask them; they are not shy and surprisingly united in their political theory and thought.

Instead of asking here, go look up the definitions of Semitic people and Zionism. Really simple and straightforward answer.
pyvpx··on Paramount Skydance has completed its $111B merger with Warner Bros. Discovery
There are vastly more Semitic people than Zionists. In fact most Zionists aren’t Semitic whatsoever.

Post truth world. Sad stuff.

pyvpx··on Among European Companies That Use a CDN, Nearly 9 in 10 Use Cloudflare
How does that quip go again…there are only two difficulties in computer science, cache invalidation, naming things, and counting.

Going from one CDN to another can be infuriating even at a surprisingly small scale. Mostly (imo) from caching semantics and counting.

pyvpx··on RISC-V: They Should Have Known Better
That’s just not how things work. Some one with experience and knowledge will be measurably more productive and build a better whatever no matter how much spicy autocomplete they have at their disposal.

Even if you eventually figure out all the right questions to prompt, the experienced person is long done

pyvpx··on RISC-V: They Should Have Known Better
If every one has a hammer and a saw and identical wood planks, everyone can build a frame that holds up 100 years?

Think it through. This is the HN comment section after all.

pyvpx··on RISC-V: They Should Have Known Better
In the set of all possible working implementations, there are one or more that are novel enough to become a moat legally or otherwise. If everyone has the same power (number of tokens) then capability (experience and understanding) becomes the differentiator to “find” that moat first.
pyvpx··on The US tried to stop cartel money-laundering; devastated mom-and-pop businesses
I would love to better understand your thinking behind this statement, if you care to elucidate.
pyvpx··on Germany Records Historic 12B KWh Solar Feed-In in July 2026
Athens can’t build flat, stable, standardised side walks. The Italians own and operate their trains and when 50 students died in a very preventable head on collision no one has been held accountable in any real fashion.

Solar panels? They gotta fix the brain drain first. Anyone with the capability to bounce understandably does.

The only people with money are Israeli and Qatari real estate investors.

pyvpx··on Accenture to acquire Ookla
May I suggest a deep dive into to the concept of “time value of money”
pyvpx··on Accenture to acquire Ookla

pyvpx··on The just-say-no engineer was a ZIRP phenomenon
A building is an immovable asset. It’s also made of things that wear and tear. Its value is derived from its capability to house and the capability to house something extends beyond four walls and a roof.

The asset has inherent liabilities. A codebase can be reasoned about extremely similarly

pyvpx··on Microsoft and OpenAI end their exclusive and revenue-sharing deal
Equating human thought to matrix multiplication is insulting to me, you, and humanity.

They had a booth at EMEA OCP this year. I still don’t understand who or what is happening there.

I’ve heard (second hand) the commercial impetus/original catalyst for DENT came from Amazon and they’re…less motivated than however many years ago
