I have no idea who you are, but I would rather give you the benefit of the doubt then try to get a dopamine hit by attacking you.
I was happy reading you post and I imagine there are many many more people like me than the grinch.
The no-account choice is deliberate because beliefs can reveal sensitive things like religion and politics. But I can see how repeating “no account” makes it feel like a feature you should be suspicious of, instead of explaining the privacy reason once and moving on.
There’s no paid tier or trial that runs out
And yes, a 1–5 scale would be simpler if all I wanted was to record agreement. The idea behind free text and AI is to let people answer in their own words, then map that answer to specific statements they can review and correct—not give them a personality score.
Thanks again for your feedback - I've already removed the “The bundle you were handed” bit.
When someone tells you what they believe in they might think it is clear but a little digging will show how ambiguous any moral or religious proclamation is.
I have been trying hard to figure out a way to force people to be explicit about their beliefs. What I came up with is https://forgemybeliefs.etewiah.workers.dev/. Would love some feedback about how I can improve it.
With the power of AI now I have returned to the idea. Haven't had the time to complete it but in the next week or so it should be ready here:
The hn community is diverse. Of course some people will be tired of it but if enough people are engaging with the pelican test I would say that is likely because it still has some relevance.
Sounds to me like things people say just to have something to say. True, it is good to listen to feedback but feedback without evidence is only going to waste your time.
Thanks for all your hard work and keep going in the direction that makes sense to you!
Do you spot any opportunities for new solutions in the real estate space these days?
It is so incredibly bad that for years I have assumed it must be me or my specific laptop. And then the years go by I just accept it.
Anytime Apple is mentioned "comically bad search" should be mentioned. It is the association I have in my mind.
It's just a fun game but can be useful for people wanting to get a better sense of what the real estate market is like at the moment.
I should really have added a bunch more games by now but I've been sidetrack. Mentioning it here has already given me a bit of motivation to do that now.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Why would you not want to mark paper ballots with pens / ink which will be harder to change?
Was I stupid? Probably...
But at this stage I am experimenting with reddit ads which charge more than $1 for a click so if I get more than 8 clicks I won't be doing too badly.
It's hard to know the value of such small ad spends but everyone has to start somewhere.
Advice from anyone who has figured out an amazing advertising solution will be much appreciated.

The best example is changing the g in github.com to u.
That results in uithub.com making the data there LLM friendly. Is that considered infringement?
I need it.
Currently I am quite bullish on EmDash.
I have only just started with it in the last few hours so I could be massively disappointed but I live in hope.
