redff0000··on ASK HN: Are there code standards for using Pandas DataFrames in production?
Sounds like you're mostly interested in provenance and lineage. Pandas doesn't really help with that and I haven't seen any serious efforts to build on top of pandas for it.

If you want to roll code, you could use decorators or overload pandas methods like joins to build a provenance graph.

If you don't want to roll code, you can treat the transform as a black box and define your inputs and outputs in terms of database/store tables.

Are there any decent tools for generating these mSDF from arbitrary SVG? Last time I looked, the available tooling failed on most nontrivial SVGs so the whole concept was a bit of a non-starter.

Your child could have slipped when getting off a train and permanently injured themselves, or in any other number of ways.

Low probability high severity events trigger a cognitive bias that makes people attempt to make things '100% safe'. There are two problems with that.

1: nothing can ever be made 100% safe so those low probability high impact events still happen from time to time.

2: making things safe hits a steep diminishing returns curve after some point, and the opportunity cost of creating said safety level starts to outweigh the benefits of not creating it.
