reverseblade2on Ask HN: How to deal with shipping AI-written code you don't understand?

I created this VSCode extension. I call it Guide-coding. Works well for me

reverseblade2on Stop Vibe Coding. Enter Guide Coding. A VSCode Extension

Pretty much the same instinct, yeah. There's a "Discuss first" box when you start a task. If you tick it, it reads around the repo first and tells you what it thinks you mean, what it's unsure about and what it's assuming. Then you just talk it through and dump your edge cases in before it plans anything. I use it on anything that isn't trivial; the plans come out a lot better.

And if you realise halfway that the plan's wrong, you can say so and it re-plans from where you are.

reverseblade2on I'm 60 years old. Claude Code killed a passion

Claude code made a much slower coder for a good reason.

Now I can find out the gaps, corner cases and motivates me more on craftmanship and perfecting the artifacts i delivered.

reverseblade2on Show HN: µJS, a 5KB alternative to Htmx and Turbo with zero dependencies

Another library ignores shadow dom.

As of now you don't need any frameworks for this. The new command and navigation apis, would just do the same trick.

reverseblade2on Chrome Extension: IMDB Ratings for Netflix

Built a Chrome extension for Netflix that actually works. Shows IMDb ratings on all titles and lets you filter by rating and year. Uses multi-source fallback (OMDb → TMDb → IMDb), so it doesn’t break when one API dies.
