I know right! My mini is almost dead!

So Ledger does not have a tamper proof seal or something?

I wrote something similar about how I miss my old fan speed regulator: https://rishikeshs.com/fan-regulator/

Hate these new BLDC fans!

Hello from AD as well! Glad to know that Hners are here! :)

I know right.

It won't be discovered, but it's about doing what's right. For some reason if something goes wrong and there's an audit, the company is screwed.

Ref to law: https://uaelegislation.gov.ae/en/legislations/1209/download

I rechecked, so for an offshore copy, you need to get special approval from DOH, which in itself is a hassle.

this is a remote company, and the person operates from their apartment, so that's not an option!

The fines are huge and if you don't get things right here and if you're caught, things are quite risky! The fines are also in the range of 100k - 200K USD

What other options I have?

I don't like Oracle. GCP has no servers in UAE. All other options were by local providers with not so friendly budget options

Yeah it's a law. Everything health related has to be in UAE.

Not an option. Client is non-technical, a one person company

I think this is due to the data residency requirements in UAE. I'm working with a client in the health space and the government requirements requires me to store data only in UAE! Tried with AWS but they were not allowing any new instances and I had to go with Azure.

A small one called FormBeep: Send form submissions directly to Whatsapp easily https://formbeep.com

Are you based in UAE by any chance?

Great PR!

Your comment was interesting.

i just read somewhere about spacex slowly destroying our dark night skies due to their satellite constellations. Thoughts?

Yes it’s a VSC fork, but it has an ARR of around 4bn

> On average, people replace their phone every four years. This is generally driven by people’s desire for a new device, including for the functionalities provided by new models.

This is so not true. I'm not replacing my phone because I want to. I'm replacing because your stupid updates break my phone and make it unusable. It's called Planned obsolescence

Have you tried Rambutan

will simon do the pelican thing for this as well

This is a great perspective

I use Hugo Book[1] for the documentation of FormBeep[2]

It's been super easy and I host it free on CF pages:

I'm working on StackStats: https://stackstats.app a better analytics app for Substack Writers. It run 100% locally with no backend or subscription.

why is your reply faded

Interesting! Yeah founder never imposed or brought those into the conversation

Shit! I was not aware!

So FormBeep is designed to work with WhatsApp since most people prefer whatsapp notifications!

I'm building a small tool called FormBeep[1] that sends a notification to your phone when someone submits a form on your website.

It started as a client problem, then something which I also experienced so decided to built it. It's just one small script and work seamlessly across platforms.

I’m reading this from UAE where zipcodes don’t exist. I wanted to make a similar post so that when you select UAE as country remove the zip code field. Usually the workaround is to type 000000

This is not only openai, but other models as well. Last week I added a summarise with AI block on a product blog page. I had seen it somewhere and felt like it’s a cool feature to have. Wrote a small shortcode in hugo for the block and added it with various models.

It’s like a hit and miss, sometimes claude says i cannot access your site which is not true.
