robofanatic··on Tasks as Code: Move Your Tickets into the Repository
> Client wrote down what they wanted

I have never seen this. Most of the time clients don't know what they really want.

robofanatic··on Ask HN: If the models are so good, why doesn't OpenAI just start 100 companies?
this is like asking, if you make all picks and shovels why don't you build houses instead of just selling the tools.
robofanatic··on Show HN: OnKey – I'm a bad singer, so I built an app to show where I'm off-key
Great idea. Does it work with any language? Or just English?
robofanatic··on Claude Duet
Well, cost of integration should be trivial. Agents can do that in seconds.
robofanatic··on LayerFS: A filesystem for AI coding agents
> Nice website

I disagree. Its full of AI slop. Too much animation (cute but distracting) I literally tried for 20 minutes and couldn't focus on reading. I just couldnt comprehend anything.

robofanatic··on Push ifs up and fors down: The idiom, its algebra, and its limits
And also generate a shorter version.
robofanatic··on Dots: Always-on agents
Is this the Jony Ive project?
robofanatic··on When anyone can build software, who decides what not to build?
Market
robofanatic··on Show HN: Bodily Oddities
Thanks for the word synesthesia. It led me to Lexical-Gustatory. I always felt some words have flavors. Like sweet/spicy/savory etc so for me January sweet, February coffee like taste, March spicy, April custard, May light sweet, June sweet, July sweet, August/September/October/November/December- no specific taste. certain words have a very specific taste. For example word Christmas reminds me of Eclairs pastry(i don’t remember having eclairs on Christmas, so don’t know where that connection came from). Now I know the name for this condition.
robofanatic··on Who Dung It? (Turdle.fun)
It's not cussing in this case, the website is quite literally about shit.
robofanatic··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
what about San Fran?
robofanatic··on Shopify moves back to Native from React Native
this motivates me to rewrite my Flutter app in Swift. I gave up on deploying the app to Android because of their 20 testers requirement at that time (not sure if its still true).
robofanatic··on Muse – Meta’s personal AI agent
People are generally bad with acronyms. For the longest time I used to refer to San Francisco as SFO. On my first visit to Bay Area, I was talking to a local friend and casually said - last weekend, I went to SFO for sightseeing. He was confused and asked why I was sightseeing at the airport. That’s when I realized it’s SF not SFO.
robofanatic··on Unusual Suspects
Don’t you see the Done button?
robofanatic··on I'm becoming AI-blind
> A technical requirements document that describes a rather simple concept in a very verbose way.

This is not AI specific. I have come across many humans who describe a simple concept in a very complex and verbose manner.

robofanatic··on Incident with Github.com
> constantly on fire as their usage increased something like 50x due to LLM sloppers pushing large amounts of trash code

I find it hard to believe that github APIs don't have rate limits to handle traffic spikes.

robofanatic··on What happens if an entire class of workers loses faith in their careers
Because most of us are middle aged with mortgages, kids etc. Not old enough to retire and live off of savings or 401ks, not young enough to start all over again.
robofanatic··on Intelligence Is Not the Main Bottleneck
> but who will execute it?

AI?

robofanatic··on 2x, not 10x: coding with LLMs in 2026
I think LLMS have reached to a point where now its just about money. you have to decide whether you really want to spend your tokens to do X or you can just do it yourself and use the tokens for something else.
robofanatic··on Claude: Elevated errors across all models – Resolved
How does this help their PR?
robofanatic··on Recreating the math behind the first stealth aircraft
the footer says "made by hand, mostly." not sure what that means, though!
robofanatic··on Jelly UI: Soft-body physics for native HTML form controls
candy store, ice-cream place, kid's website?
robofanatic··on Jelly UI: Soft-body physics for native HTML form controls
https://github.com/topics/design-system
robofanatic··on Shadcn/UI now defaults to Base UI instead of Radix
Exactly! We have accepted British English, American English, Australian English …. Lets just accept AI English and move on.
robofanatic··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
would love to see some Fibonacci ear rings
robofanatic··on Ryanair dark UX patterns summer 2026 refresher
I always think these airline people see passengers as fish and put baits all over the places.
robofanatic··on Building an HTML-first site doubled our users overnight
may be he meant, doubled our users who actually submitted the form
robofanatic··on Cleaning up after AI rockstar developers
> Half the code was written in a language you didn't understand. The other half was written using libraries you never heard of.

> As you waded through the slop, you browsed job postings and fantasized about leaving

Just because you didn't understand something or haven't heard about a library, doesn't mean its slop. How do you make sure your definition of "clean code" is not a slop to others?

robofanatic··on Technical Interviews Reject the Wrong Engineers
Give an abstract requirement and access to your AI tool. Ask the candidate to create a working solution and review the AI generated code. requirement analysis and code review are now the primary skills for developers.
robofanatic··on 3D-printed book turns its own G-code into raised lettering
Is anyone else confused by thier cookie consent banner? The switches start out gray and become black when toggled. which position means consent? It feels intentionally misleading.
