rogeliodh··on WTF Ubuntu?
Yes, my postgres pods died, so everything DB related in my cluster went useless.

Not something you expect from a kernel patch upgrade

rogeliodh··on Ubuntu still has not released patch for Linux 0day RCE in almost 3 weeks
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oracle/+bug/...
rogeliodh··on WTF Ubuntu?
The explanation is everywhere: it can lead to RCE , researchers achieved it with mptcp but nothing prevents attackers finding another mechanism. Yes, it is hard to exploit it outside mptcp but nobody has demonstrated it is impossible, so we should be cautious and tag it as urgent
rogeliodh··on WTF Ubuntu?
It has severe regressions like https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-oracle/+bug/...
rogeliodh··on Ubuntu still has not released patch for Linux 0day RCE in almost 3 weeks
It has severe regressions, unfortunately
rogeliodh··on TCP Use-After-Free: CVE-2026-98432 / CVSS 9.8
Unfortunately that kernel has some regressions, so they are holding it, I think
rogeliodh··on Agents don't need memory, they need documentation
OKF + some implementation like https://github.com/okf-memory/okf-agent-memory
rogeliodh··on OKF Agent Memory – Git-native persistent memory for AI coding agents
How does it compare to https://github.com/scaccogatto/okf-skills ?
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Building a web server in assembly to give my life (a lack of) meaning
Awesome. Any resource recommendations to learn ARM assembly?
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Yolobox – Run AI coding agents with full sudo without nuking home dir
great but can the yolo modes be disabled? I want only the isolation
rogeliodh··on A fork of Calibre called Clbre, because the AI is stripped out
Post this when a release is made. Currently this fork doesn't have any commit (beyond stating the intention of the fork without explaining why) and it is useless.
rogeliodh··on Ghostty is now non-profit
Is the Zig Software Foundation in good shape?
rogeliodh··on FAWK: LLMs can write a language interpreter
They are very good at understanding current code and its architecture so no need to save state. In any case, it is good to explicitly ask them to generate proper comments for their architectural decisions and to keep updated AGENT.md file
rogeliodh··on AGENTS.md – Open format for guiding coding agents
Some time ago a lot of projects had a README and a BUILD/README.build/DEVELOPMENT file... I think AGENTS.md is more akin to this last file.
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Somo – a human friendly alternative to netstat
somo | grep -v ─

:)

rogeliodh··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (April 2025)
nice! yes, please, add me to the beta :)
rogeliodh··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (April 2025)
I would love a pad where i could dump any text with numbers and it will sum/avg all of them
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Dillo 3.1.0 released after 9 years
btw, "Dillo is a fast and small graphical web browser"
rogeliodh··on How GitHub replaced SourceForge as the dominant code hosting platform
intel drivers: https://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000/
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Heynote – A dedicated scratchpad for developers
awesome... I've always dreamed of a notepad that I could dump any text which includes numbers and it automatically simply made the sum of all the numbers found in the text (also averages)

maybe you could add a "Math adder/Math averager" block languages?

rogeliodh··on Kagi finally let me lay Google Search to rest
They should implement regional pricing. UD$10/month is too much in a lot of countries.
rogeliodh··on Rewind Pendant: a wearable that captures what you say and hear
For privacy aware people, you can diy with something like: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33608437
rogeliodh··on So you want to modify the text of a PDF by hand (2020)
LibreOffice can open and edit PDFs. Last time I tried it was really good. Not sure what limitations are there.
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Open-source obsidian.md sync server
Please consider regional prices. US$8 monthly is high for in-develop countries
rogeliodh··on Show HN: Rssnix – Unix-style filesystem-based RSS/Atom/JSON Feed fetcher/reader
I'd love a cli like this for miniflux.app
rogeliodh··on A sane SSH(1) key management example
remember CVE-2016-0777 (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10901588)?
