rosslh··on An MCP which pulls together vulnerability data from over 20 security databases
I found this project which seems super useful: a production-grade MCP server giving Claude 27 security intelligence tools across 21 APIs — CVE lookup, EPSS scoring, CISA KEV, MITRE ATT&CK, Shodan, VirusTotal, and more.
rosslh··on Degraded availability for GitHub Actions, GitHub Pages and Webhooks
Isn't it still just essentially a UI wrapper around GitHub?
rosslh··on Incident with Actions
My company switched to a different provider for our action runners partly for reliability reasons. Despite that, jobs still aren't being dispatched.

I'm not affiliated with this project, I just find it hugely useful for reducing AI lock-in risk.
rosslh··on An experimental guide to Answer Engine Optimization
I don't have much in terms of hard data unfortunately. My site is very new, so measuring the AEO impact isn't really possible yet (no baseline to compare against). I am, however, collecting analytics on whether various routes are being hit (e.g. llms.txt and .md routes), as well as the frequency of various AI user agents, so I can do a follow-up post once I have some more data.
rosslh··on It’s been a very hard year
One person's unethical AI product is another's accessibility tool. Where the line is drawn isn't as obvious as you're implying.

Yet another banger from Josh Comeau. Dude does not miss!

Your comment is some interesting food for thought, but I wanted to respond to a couple statements you made:

> not being able to center text no matter how much frontend experience we have

Not being able to center things is a bit of a meme, but flexbox was introduced back in 2009 and has been supported by major browsers for quite a long time. Centering text and elements is now extremely easy.

> css could benefit from knowing about the dimensions of container elements

You're in luck! Container queries were added to CSS fairly recently:

rosslh··on Ask HN: What happens to ".io" TLD after UK gives back the Chagos Islands?
How does using these TLDs exploit "3rd world people"?
rosslh··on Show HN: Instead of opentowork on LinkedIn, I'm desperate cos it's true
That's funny, doesn't seem to work on firefox though sadly
