Astronauts: 8O
I'm afraid many will simply be lost to time.
Antimatter as part of an energy storage system for propulsion is still a good idea. They'll just have to look elsewhere for that property, or modify the theory to work on different principles. Eric Lentz is working in that direction and doesn't think negative mass/energy is needed.
On domestic flights, I miss Southwest Airlines pre-9/11 snack packs. They had cheese, crackers, cookies, and fruit like apple sauce. Nice pick-me-up in the middle of a three hour flight.
We had kids standing around looking confused. They didn't know what to do. They asked for directions on what to do. We said to look at their grades and decide what to do. When they finally pulled up the gradebook on their laptops, they would point at it and say "what do you want me to do?"
Something. We want you to decide, on your own, to do something. Anything. Just make a choice.
Most kids did figure it out, though not always making the wise choices (but that's part of the reason we're giving them the freedome). But there was a minority who couldn't grasp the idea that they were personally able and responsible to decide what to do.
I have a Digirule and a Digirule 2a. They scratch many itches...neat gadget goblin, vintage computing goblin, buttons and flashy lights goblin, fidget goblin.
City people might eat the same calories, but it's hyperprocessed HFCS-based "food".
It was unexpected, related to something I had posted about trying to fix our riding lawnmower, and honestly took a huge chore off of our plate at a time when we needed to focus on family.
I've appreciated so many things people have done for us, from just a message, card, shoulder to cry on, or visiting at the hospital or attending a funeral. But I was taken aback at how important and meaningful that concrete and thoughtful help was. I'm now trying to look for ways I can offer something concrete and thoughful whenever possible.
I'd like one so I can use it for Mathematica. Running it on my RPi B (the original) is pretty underwhelming these days.
