Big miss here not calling this article “Pondering the Orb”

I agree, Claude does a great job of synthesizing Godot docs, and even of writing unit and integration tests with GUT. I have not tried any e2e testing but I’m not convinced that you couldn’t get a good result there, too, depending on the kind of game.

I think this is pretty cool, all things considered. I think it’s unrealistic to expect anything that’s been one-shot to have much polish or charm.

Something I’m surprised about is the lack of unit testing. Agents are remarkably good at creating tests and GUT testing is pretty well developed; having some good unit tests would really assist in the subsequent steps where you polish controls, add features, etc. Without these, I think things will get off the rails pretty quickly.

Melted GPU? I’m still sore about that one.

I love reading about clever ideas like this, but at the same time, I'm leery of the notion that we can fix the climate at the last minute, a narrative that stems from the late capitalist imperative to innovate. We don't need to innovate to find a solution; we need to act.

I love getting the inside view. Dan's asides about how the team decided to use this or that approach are priceless.
