'Complete' (https://complete.li/) took about a week and got some press coverage (wired.co.uk, dailymail.co.uk and more..)
shlomib··on Node Summary – Naive summarization algorithm for Node.js
One thing, If you take a look at line 53 in my original code: https://gist.github.com/shlomibabluki/5473521#file-summary_t...

You can change the code to run only -> for j in range(0, i)

* (instead of range(0, n))

and then store the same score both in values[i][j] and values[j[i]

shlomib··on An algorithm for generating automatic hashtags
Obviously this is NOT the algorithm we use in our product (Swayy)...
shlomib··on An algorithm for generating automatic hashtags
Agree. Maybe some TF-IDF solution.
shlomib··on An algorithm for generating automatic hashtags
So just filter the hashtags from the output and put them at the end of the original title :P
shlomib··on An algorithm for generating automatic hashtags
Good idea! Actually I'm thinking about creating some open source “social-NLP” python package. What do you think?

shlomib··on Build your own summary tool
As I wrote in the post, I use Goose (https://github.com/xgdlm/python-goose) in my product. Goose also returns the URL of the main image! (sometimes it even includes its dimensions)
shlomib··on Build your own summary tool
I totally agree! There is a huge gap between my naive algorithm and a real working one. The idea of this post was just to introduce the “automatic summarization world” to those who aren't familiar with it at all.
shlomib··on Build your own summary tool
Yes, You're right! I wrote "how many common tokens we have", maybe be it should be "how many tokens we have in common"...
