simply_sam··on A minimalistic site to vent and see others doing the same in realtime

Hi, is there any way to contact you privately?

I would like to use this idea on a project of mine.

simply_sam··on Ask HN: What are you working on?

I love this. For years I had been thinking about creating a map where you can spot first and last sun in an area. Now that I’m actually tackling bigger and complexer projects I forgot all about that idea. Great job!

There’s an app on sidequest (for the oculus quest) that can track your piano and finger moves. You can input a midi file and then it sees you playing it and shows your virtual fingers. It might be possible to do hand tracking like that with an iphone. Have you tried concerting sound from a phone microphone to midi?

simply_sam··on Apple: Person-to-person experiences do not have to use in-app purchase

I’m in the process of building an app for massage services to the home. There are formulas like 1 on 1, 1 on 2 and 2 on 2. This change would mean that I could make all of this happen without any in app purchases as long as the purchases are independent and Then linked together. Am I getting this right?

simply_sam··on 27-inch iMac gets a major update

This is the laptop I have been using for 5 years now. As a web developer it is amazing that this 5year old mini laptop can drive a 4K screen through usb-c but driving too many stuff at once does slow it down a lot. Thinking about switching to the new iMac right now.
