It's a spinning optical disk.

I'm at a letter agency, and the way we work with hands tied behind our backs reminds me of how we worked in the early 90s. It's still out there, you just have to find it.

Lithium Orotate for anxiety. You're welcome.

All Musk cares about is Mars. The CT is going to be a Mars vehicle, that's why it looks like that by and large.

And this tech is simply part of the Tesla/SpaceX merge, and right in line with flamethrowers, tunnels, and chainsaws. It's going to funnel loads of cash his way, which was the idea.

smm11··on 15-year search for a band that charted once and vanished
Way, way pre-WWW I was at an REM concert when the lyrics were suddenly wrong, "I did not invent this world" snuck in somehow. My friends didn't notice, didn't recall it.

Six years later I'm riding my bike through a bar-heavy area in a large city, and I hear a snippet of that same lyric somewhere, where? I went to every bar there the next six months, until I heard it across the street. Went to the manager, then another one, then another one, until I got the answer. Future 40s, Syd Straw, with Michael Stipe, on Golden Palaminos.

Of course. It was maybe 1991 by now. I told my friends years later, and and nobody had any idea what was talking about.

I don't understand this. Buy something else to run Linux, as in anything other than Apple M series laptops. And if you want to do AI stuff, suffer with OSX using too much RAM, or again, buy something appropriate.

Good thread.

I've been going backwards to Afterstep and Window Maker theming. Maybe I'll get back to E in a few years.

smm11··on Protect your shed
Yep, beyond 30 minutes or so I'll just switch rooms and watch a hockey or baseball game. I'm at the "done that" phase now. Not much excites me in the computer space.

California pays other states to take its excess solar energy. Power for a project like this isn't the issue, actually building the system is the issue.
