snarky-comments··on AI Hasn't Spurred Widespread Layoffs Yet. Why Not?
"According to Joseph Fuller, MBA Class of 1960 Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School, much of what’s standing in the way of that large-scale disruption is companies’ clumsy implementation."

This is what I've seen. Clumsy implementation. And I've worked at companies selling AI products and they can't figure it out how to use them effectively.

Its like using gun powder in ancient China for fireworks. "Someday this will be really transformative" everyone says.

This could signal a healthy fail fast competitive market. Maybe?

snarky-comments··on Two Firefighters Died in Yosemite–For What?
They died bravely, serving the greater good.

Even if the fire control is ultimately pointless there's no need to question valiant deaths.

Most people will die from video games and cheetos... For what?

A redmond based company used to ship buggy human made first drafts and charge you for the updates.

How is bad software a uniquely AI issue?

If its not unique to AI how about addressing software quality as a general issue ?

snarky-comments··on AI Can Cut Film Budgets by Up to 40%, Says 'The Outlaws' Director Kang Yoon-Sung
Merely useful is a very low threshold.

Its about the brain.

Don't you wonder about these things?

I know I do.

snarky-comments··on Anthropic bans 'abusive or cruel behavior' towards Claude
Playground? These are paid interactions.

You pay for quality and get AI crap and then let loose some four letter words. Like shit.

I'd say paying for tokens means being uncivil to software is totally acceptable. Dammit.

snarky-comments··on Anthropic bans 'abusive or cruel behavior' towards Claude
Wait, you mean like saying "fuck" in an otherwise ordinary interaction makes it problematic?

Model abuse is half the fun. Esp. When they do stupid stuff - which is often.

snarky-comments··on Account bans on Reddit
Sad but true, that's my reddit experience too.

The anti AI slant is hilarious since the whole site is mined for AI.

And all the content generates actual revenue and you, the content generator, get abuse for your trouble.
