small (700b) open-weights models are great at coding and tool calling but lack world knowledge. because the parameter difference is so huge T to B, of course they also are not as intelligent.

i understand the adoption for these things is off the charts.

i also found this to be even more powerful today with AI.

dont need to import libraries anymore, can just build my own.

you can&should use AI to help you with frontend (css,js).

doesnt mean you tell it: make it look nice.

i find it is great if you want to apply your creativity and ideas.

due to its popularity with self hosting by both individuals and companies, the deepseek model, its weights, can easily represent the whole of deepseek.

so if they say dont use deepseek, it means dont use the company & dont use the model. it is the only reasonable way to read this. you are looking for doorways where there arent any reasonable ones.

true but from what i found, the opencode team tested these prompts and evaluated that a bigger prompt is better for some models, overall.

very possible that a smaller more custom system prompt (+ custom tools) could work better for specific use cases.

the backend is PHP and data is from PodcastIndex. hosted on an oracle free tier vps (1gb ram).

you can spend your opencode go quota faster than 1 month. with the limits i think its about two weeks.

so even if the week reset with some %usage left, its not actually lost if its not the end of the month.

i use the oracle x86 1gb ram to host php and static websites.

not a great comparison.
