speransky··on Serbia's Vucic concedes election defeat in historic win for student movement
Isn’t the student list pro-Russian too? They stated basically that this putin’s ass licking politics will continue
speransky··on Yandex Takes a Second Data Center Hit in 48 Hours
Russian citizens have no voice anyway, so their opinion isn’t a part of equation about strikes planning. 90% of them support aggression anyway
speransky··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
So many cool projects you guys are working on. I'm trying to implement a Multimodal Swarm Management simulator, idea is to use agent to process operator intents, form swarm and build a mission for a set of drones and other available assets based on their capabilities. Inspired by my other more practical projects where we are operating large fleet of platforms and current mission planners have very imperative model and so low level. More speculations are there https://uglydrone.com/posts/052920261.html
speransky··on OpenMANET Wi-Fi HaLow open-source project for Raspberry Pi–based MANET radios
I believe yes, give them other try, my scenarios with one connected station and mesh on drone platforms works out of the box
speransky··on OpenMANET Wi-Fi HaLow open-source project for Raspberry Pi–based MANET radios
I use MorseMicro in 802.11s mode successfully, just openwrt stuff, any reason to try this project ?
speransky··on Building the heap: racking 30 petabytes of hard drives for pretraining
Why re-invent the wheel instead of using Lustre filesystem? It's easy to deploy on such a small filesystem; it is easy enough. POSIX interface, multiple clients, supports high-speed networking...

Read like a novel, well done
speransky··on Sol-Ark manufacturer reportedly disables all Deye inverters in the US
I have inverter of different brand and also had concern to allow it internet connection, so i ended with pi zero connected to it’s internal wifi with socat port gateway, a route on router to simulate it’s internal network and it’s app works thinking it is connected locally to device, even over vpn back to home.
speransky··on Two undersea cables in Baltic Sea disrupted
Root cause is known and obvious; Minuteman III is a solution, to moderate bully you need 10x response
speransky··on Tesla’s TTPoE at Hot Chips 2024: Replacing TCP for Low Latency Applications
Tuned RoCE with udp is really low latency and no need to implement extra layer of silicon. May be there are more motivation then described in article
speransky··on I'm Peter Roberts, immigration attorney who does work for YC and startups. AMA
How long these days can take L1A to GC process ?
speransky··on Insecure vehicles should be banned, not security tools like the Flipper Zero
for me the issue us flipper team itself, not a device. they are ruzzianz, buying this device directly or indirectly supports criminal regime
speransky··on Ask HN: Any hardware startups here?
We are doing a military IoT products, for blue force tracking, supply chain control and low bandwidth datalink operations. Full stack - cases, pcb, firmwares, antennas, software and deployments. Can’t do show as we have only one customer now. As we are working in aggressive environment sometimes it is hard to keep cost in a reasonable range. Also finding a VC or fund interested in dual purpose or military hardware is hard and differ from a consumer products, so still FFF model of financing and this produce issues with scaling
speransky··on Joint statement by the Department of the Treasury, Federal Reserve, and FDIC
so all other bank customers (who are taxpayers also) will pay indirectly through higher FDIC insurance rates/commissions, right ?
speransky··on ‘Putin’s chef’ admits to interfering in U.S. elections

speransky··on mTCP: TCP/IP applications for DOS PCs
My number two software after Volkov Commander (thank you Seva) when I build an vintage gaming pc, great thing to have a easy way to transfer files to old DOS machine. mTCP rocks !
speransky··on Balcony solar panels – one-year results
In run 15 kw solar array on the roof and 5kw over pool, in addition to plenty of daily energy and good grid buyback prices I have nice view from a drone :) also have some monitoring based on grafana and mqtt, both my invertors have proprietary protocols and it was fun to hack them to get data. I think every roof should have pv panels with grid tie connection, so many photons are missed :)
speransky··on Google, Apple remove Navalny app from stores as Russian elections begin
if Russians are OK with current regime, why corps should fight for them
speransky··on Sputnik V: fraudulent clinical trial data
As the tone of article is bit aggressive, I have own observations, my relatives who lives in Russia were fully vaccinated with Sputnik and all 4 of them (one family) got a very hard COVID with delta, two of them were on oxygen therapy. Doesn’t mean anything but my feelings are that there are some lie about that vaccine efficiency for no reason except political benefits.
speransky··on Apple to build battery-based solar energy storage project in California
Why not a private nuclear power station, Apple
speransky··on Bitcoin miners in Abkhazia are causing blackouts in remote villages [video]
Typical case with russia occupied territories, no law, criminal business. They supply electricity to this region but locals just do not pay and do illegal connections. Mining business controlled by Russia-Abkhazian criminal clans and FSB-backed pseudogovernment structures, so this video is an episode of internal war between them.
speransky··on 26 Years of Delphi
That was amazing times when with Delphi you can build an app with database which automates some tasks and sell it to local business. Easy money. Lawyers, libraries, trade businesses, even gas station !
speransky··on IncludeOS: a minimal unikernel operating system for C++ services
Old concept in HPC world, most of ancient supercomputers had ability to compile compute tasks with unikernel and spawn over compute nodes. Few years ago concept of Xen bases unikernels circulated in xen mail lists, but look like there was little interest in community. Includeos can be a “fat lambda” for those who want to control everything, but how many of such tasks we have
