suchabag··on Yarn Plug'n'Play: Getting rid of node_modules
Looks great! Can we start using it now? Do you have a realistic timeframe for an official integration in Yarn?
suchabag··on Things about programming I learned with Go
> Authors of Go wanted to give users more flexibility by allowing them to add their logic to any structs they like. Even to the ones they’re not authors of (like some external libraries).

Except that you can't. "You "cannot define new methods on non-local type[s],". You have to compose them. That makes the struct function definition syntax a bit moot in my opinion.

suchabag··on Bitcoin Price Chart
Well I learned about bitcoin back in 2011 on the front page of HN.
suchabag··on Why I don't like smartcards, HSMs, YubiKeys, etc.
Would that answer OP's needs: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/9-ledger-blue ?
suchabag··on Hextris
It's great. I wish there was a color blind friendly version though!
suchabag··on RubyMotion 3.0 Sneak Peek: Android Support
I've used a bit TideSDK [1]. I'm afraid the project might be on hold though since there has been no activity on their github repository [2]. Some explanations can be found on their blog [3]

suchabag··on Realistically colorized historical photos make the past seem incredibly real
English is not my native language but I think that the opposite of real here is more abstract than fake.
suchabag··on Show HN: Delete with your Macbook Pro's power key
I find text navigation in Apple less consistent than in Windows. It makes it harder to be efficient :

By default:

- Chrome / TextEdit

⌘ + → = end of line

ctrl + → = end of line

⌥ + → = next word

- Sublime / Xcode

⌘ + → = end of line

ctrl + → = next word

⌥ + → = next word

- Firefox / Eclipse

⌘ + → = end of line

ctrl + → = ∅

⌥ + → = next word

OK I realize now that I should never use the ctrl key for navigation... It's disturbing and useless !

This means you should tell a new Apple user:

For text navigation:

mac ⌥ = windows ctrl

mac ⌘ = windows alt

For pretty much everything else:

mac ⌘ = windows ctrl

Except: ⌘ + tab = alt + tab

He might kill you.

It's called OneTab (http://www.one-tab.com/)
suchabag··on Things Every Programmer Should Know
This link has been posted several times before (https://www.hnsearch.com/search#request/all&q=97+program...). What's the HN best practice for this?
